What could possibly go wrong? The school board for Chicago Public Schools District 299 voted unanimously to remove school resource officers from CPS school buildings next year. This after Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Chicago Teachers Union's fully bought-and-paid for mayor, supported this. You have to hand it to him: Brandon Johnson's administration has done so well making life worse for everyone on every major issue so far, has he not?
Because NOTHING bad EVER happens at Chicago Public Schools.
Of course, this is the same district that had a murderer working as a “Safe Passage” worker last year until cops caught him selling guns and drugs while he was at work.
Moreover, they never got back to me on my query on how many employees they have on the payroll who have murder or sex crime convictions on their records. Maybe someone should FOIA that.

In a unanimous vote, Chicago's Board of Education approved a plan to remove police officers from Chicago Public Schools, starting next school year.
I know most people who can afford to send their kids to private schools in Chicago already do. If that's not you, then it's time to move.
We've repeatedly covered the utility of School Resource Officers in schools. Over and over and over again.
The people running Chicago hate the little people. They hate you.
And their votes to do things like pull SROs out of schools just further cement how they're doing everything they can to make life worse and more dangerous for you and your family.
