The Gen 6 Glock series has been talked about for quite a while now. The frequency of such discussions seems to be increasing lately, though, which prob’ly isn’t that surprising. We’ve seen talk on social media, on forum threads, even sometimes in the only working bathroom at Nancy’s Squat’n’Gobble.

So what’s all the excitement about, you ask? We’re glad you asked.
Glock’s a hugely popular brand of handgun. No s**t, we hear saying, but hey, slow your roll, f**ko. You asked the question (~ish), so at least let us answer.
That popularity means that lots of people want to know if newer, better, Glockier Glock will be Glocking along soon.

But it also means that people who don’t like Glocks are looking for an excuse to explain why those who do are misinformed, misguided, or just retarded.
It’s your basic mixture of confirmation bias from several perspectives. Those include, but are not limited to:
- Glock people who’re eager to see a new Glock.
- Glock people who wouldn’t be satisfied with whatever features the new Glock has, even if it offered them the occasional handjob.
- Glock haters of all kinds, and…
- A few professional or academically-minded folks who’re genuinely interested in what’s coming, how it was engineered, and why it was designed that way.
It’s mostly the latter group of people we’re addressing today, but f**k it. The rest of you are welcome to pitch in as well.

People are wondering if it’ll have something similar to the Fire Control Unit as a serialized part, what the geometry of the frame and slide might be, what sort of modularity it’ll offer, even what colors it’ll come in.
Will the Glock Gen 6 be a big improvement over the Gen 5? Will it explain in part all those Glock discontinued models? We dunno, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be significantly different. Better, when it comes to guns, gear, boots, boobs, and pretty much anything else fun to use or play with is almost always going to be a matter of personal opinion.
Mostly. All of us can think of inarguably bad examples of all those things, whether it’s someone who has tried to run a combat course with a Lorcin (guns) or anyone who has visited the fine establishments outside Ft. Polk or in driving distance of 29 Palms (boobs).
Anyway, if the topic of the (presumably) forthcoming Gen 6 Glock is of interest to you, then check out the Gen 6 Glock article our editor recently published, UPDATED on his website: Glock Gen 6: Non-Fiction Facts and Features.
Don’t worry, it’s only about half again as long as it needs to be, and there aren’t as many big words as usual.
Unless your MOS starts with an 11 or a 03, you should be just fine.
