Gun and Gadgets is reporting that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has issued changes to a rule pertaining to frames and receivers, just two days before the rule is scheduled to go into effect.
Jared Yanis of Guns and Gadgets called the new rule that was supposed to go into effect “cloudy at best.”
Gun Owners of America has since filed a lawsuit against the ATF over the rule change.
The suit was filed in the District of North Dakota and the plaintiff is Morehouse Enterprises LLC, d/b/a Bridge City Ordnance vs the ATF. Bridge City Ordnance is a gun shop in Valley City, North Dakota.
The suit – filed yesterday – states the following:
“In a Notice published in the Federal Register, with a publication date of today, Monday, August 22, 2022 Defendant ATF has noticed changes to the challenged Final Rule entitled “Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver’ and Identification of Firearms.” The Final Rule was originally published on April 26, 2022 with an effective date of this Wednesday, August 24, 2022 and the noticed changes also have an effective date of August 24, 2022. Plaintiffs’ challenge to that rule has been in litigation before this court since the filling of their complaint on July 5, 2022.
The changes to the Final Rule are described as “corrections,” yet the summary of the changes admits that the complexity of this rulemaking process has even caused the ATF to make numerous mistakes. ATF admits the Final Rule contained inconsistencies, and creates various sources of confusion, which the agency hopes to have identified and fixed”

Just like the IRS, FBI & the DOJ in general, the ATF is not friends of America or American citizens.

Throw ALL of the new rules and changes our of court and in to total nullification. Nothing bu5 political nonsense anyway. Ridiculous.
No surprise the ATF acts to circumvent federal requirements. I’ve paid attention to the ATF for decades. The most striking thing about their culture is they are arrogant and careless. I’ve noticed that many of their agents are failed FBI and US Marshal wannabes. Once in the ATF they try to make up for lack of skill, maturity, etc, by being arrogant.
People forget that the federal agents initially shot at WACO were ATF.
Sequence of events: A reporter waiting on a road near the compound let a mail carrier know the raid was to take place that morning.
The carrier (friend of David Koresh) called him and let him know.
A Federal informant inside the compound risked his life and made a cell phone call, telling the feds that they had lost the element of surprise.
ATF leaders told their people:”Hey! They know we’re coming! We’ve got to go in now!”
In 24 years in the Army, I did several operations overseas. If you think the target is alerted – you wait 12-80 hours, then go. Their adrenaline surge has been expended and they are probably exhausted.
You don’t throw your people in to just prove you’re tough.
