Life In California: Judge Robbed In Broad Daylight Across The Street From Oakland Courthouse

-

's comprehensive regime of strict gun control laws has worked to ensure that mostly bad guys have guns in the Golden State. 's done his damnedest through radically restrictive limits on keeping and bearing to keep firearms out of the hands of most good men and women. That leaves the violent criminals to carry freely, especially in jurisdictions where Soros-funded (non)prosecutors rule the roost.

In , a trio of brazen armed robbers struck last week just outside the Alameda County Courthouse. They scored big, catching Judge Kevin Murphy walking from the parking garage to the courthouse. They relieved him of his Rolex, his wallet, key fob and miscellaneous other valuables without the slightest worry of apprehension.

This is more of the same that comes from a criminal population that has been allowed to live without the fear of consequences.

KTVU has more:

Judge Kevin Murphy was starting his day when he was robbed by three masked men of his Rolex watch, wallet and other personal items at gunpoint, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office announced on Thursday
Murphy was walking from a parking garage to the René C. Davidson Courthouse building, which sits near Lake Merritt, when he was robbed, a source said…
A source close to the investigation said Murphy, a former prosecutor for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, was not physically harmed during the incident, which the Alameda County Sheriff's Office later confirmed.

Would it surprise you to learn that police were unable to apprehend the suspects? Who knows? Maybe the three had a court date and decided to do a little “business” beforehand.

One would think there would be better than average security and a larger police presence outside the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse. Especially for individuals like judges. But in a deep blue city where crime is not only tolerated but virtually encouraged, everyone is at risk.

By now, most of us who don't live in condition white are well aware that the three places the average person is most likely to find themselves the victim of a violent crime are 1) parking lots and garages, 2) gas stations, and 3) the last fifty or one hundred feet from your own front door. Maybe we need to add a fourth location to the list: the vicinity around blue city halls of criminal justice.

  1. Judge Murphy likes living that way, that is why he votes and gives the criminals in Oakland his blessings!

  2. Nothing here is surprising, except the question of how a former prosecutor, now judge, can afford a Rolex while on government salary?

  3. OAKLAND??? Really??? The City that is next to Bazurkaley…never all those wonderful happy residents living on our tax dollars??? Never happen.

  4. Maybe that GOOFY judge might start “carrying” now . . . That is, if Gavin will let him HAVE the PERMIT!

  5. There’s something about this nation that was created by riflemen willing to fight. that many don’t understand. During WW2, Japan was planning to invade the West Coast. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the officer in command had lived in the U.S. and knew something about our country and we the people at that time. When planning the invasion he said, “Firearms are as plentiful as the blades of grass. Casualties would be unacceptable.” When he said that he was in command of men who felt it was an honor to die for their emporer. Can any imagine if every hunter, target shooter, or gun collector opened fire on a group trying to invade this country? Our country was founded on we the people being able to defend ourselves against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Sure, there are some who should be anywhere near a gun. They’re proven to not be law-abiding citizens. Many of us took an Oath of Allegiance. When discharged from the Navy, I don’t recall being told the oath no longer means anything.

    • What about when the enemy comes from within? Let me remind you, they all took an oath too. Just about the same one, but now it means nothing to them. What about when the enemy comes from within? Shouldn’t we still defend ourselves, even from them?

This has been going on for some time in Oakland. Almost 20 years ago I was in Oakland meeting a client. It was a Saturday afternoon, sunny as could be, and my car was parked on one of the main streets in a high-end retail area. While I was meeting with my client someone on foot approached my car, broke into the locked trunk of my car, stole my golf clubs, and walked away with them. Lots of people around, broad daylight, and no one stopped them, said anything, reported the theft, and the police wouldn’t even take a report.

    • did you know that the PRC,the “People Republic of China” have their eastern border in Eastern California now. Gavin, and Ji, the greaseball twins!

  7. Be funny if the perps were people the judge should have put in jail for previous offenses
