The clock is ticking.
Republicans on the House Oversight Committee announced Tuesday they would give the FBI 24 hours to produce a requested whistleblower report form that details an alleged $5 million bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.
Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., first threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt last week. In a letter to the bureau, Comer said the law enforcement agency “failed to produce the FD-1023 form or offer any reasonable accommodation that would allow the Committee to review the document.”
“I personally called Director Wray and told him he needs to send that document. Today is the deadline,” Speaker Kevin McCarthy added.
The New York Post has more:
“We have jurisdiction over this. He can send us that document. We have the right to look at that —Republicans and Democrats alike in that committee. And if he does not follow through with the law, we will move contempt charges against Christopher Wray and the FBI. They are not above the law.”
McCarthy called Wray on May 19 and said afterward he believed the FBI would comply with the Oversight Committee subpoena.
Comer, meanwhile, is scheduled for a Wednesday call with Wray — after the deadline passes.
“I see sensitive documents all the time. I told him he could redact certain parts of that — names and others, so we wouldn’t know methods,” McCarthy said.
Despite Wray’s noncompliance, Comer’s liberal critics argue he and McCarthy are being hypocritical as McCarthy defied a subpoena from the Jan. 6th Committee.

There is so much at stake. If the subpoena does not work, this lying, corrupt person needs to be arrested, which can be done according to Levin. It is time to play hardball.

Very good! We all know that nothing will happen, the house may declare him as in contempt of congress, but that really is meaningless. Who can the house use to enforce their contempt warrant?
What more evidence do we need to demonstrate that here is yet another Federal Bureau overrun by Deep State goons who serve not the Republic but their own concealed interests?
