U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said members of the House Democrats’ select committee who claim to be investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol have already “altered evidence” of a text exchange between him and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
On Sunday Jordan referred to the primetime presentation hearing focused on the riot, which Democrats hired former ABC News President James Goldston to produce, as nothing but a partisan effort that has already been shown to include doctored “evidence.”
“This committee has altered evidence and lied to the American people about it, so much so that they had to issue a statement which says, ‘We regret the error,’ which is government-speak for, ‘We got caught lying,’” Jordan told Fox News Channel anchor Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures.
Sean Davis at The Federalist reported in December Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed to have evidence that, in the text exchange, a member of Congress told Meadows to have former Vice President Mike Pence overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Davis wrote:
After leaking fake Donald Trump, Jr. emails, fabricating the transcript of a 2019 phone call between former President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s president, and lying about his interactions with the so-called whistleblower behind House Democrats’ first impeachment of Trump, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is now running the same con against a fellow lawmaker.
“Not only did Schiff misrepresent the substance of the text message and its source, he even doctored original text messages, which were obtained and reviewed by The Federalist in their entirety,” he added.
Davis observed the full text message was “significantly longer,” but Schiff “erased significant portions of the text and added punctuation where there was none to give the impression that Jordan himself was tersely directing Meadows to give orders to Pence on how to handle the electoral vote certification.”
Following The Federalist’s report, the Democrats’ select committee admitted to doctoring the text message.
A Democrat spokesman stated:
The Select Committee on Monday created and provided Representative Schiff a graphic to use during the business meeting quoting from a text message from “a lawmaker” to Mr. Meadows. The graphic read, “On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all.” In the graphic, the period at the end of that sentence was added inadvertently. The Select Committee is responsible for and regrets the error.
“The Jan. 6 committee spokesman did not explain how one could ‘inadvertently’ cut a sentence in half and eliminate the final two paragraphs of a detailed legal summary,” Davis noted, adding, “nor did he explain why Schiff attributed the content of the text to Jordan, ‘a lawmaker,’ rather than to [Department of Defense Inspector General Joseph] Schmitz, the attorney who wrote it.”
Meanwhile, Jordan, along with Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), chair of the Republican Study Committee, had been blocked, by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), from participating on the Jan. 6 committee, and both Republican lawmakers are now conducting their own counter-investigation.
Banks told Fox News during his and Jordan’s counter-probe they discovered “serious issues” concerning security and how intelligence was gathered and shared.
He referred to the primetime hearing show as “all theater,” “a circus,” and “a political witch-hunt.”
“The Capitol was not secure that day,” Banks said. “There was a systemic breakdown of security and leadership within Capitol security, the top levels of the Capitol police.”
“They had faulty or outdated equipment,” Banks said. “Some of them didn’t even have riot shields or helmets on. The rioters had better equipment than they did.”
Jordan was also subpoenaed by the Democrats’ select panel but has refused to cooperate.

Imagine that, The Nazi Communist Leftist Democrats altering evidence. According to the results and Democrat claims concerning the 2020election, Evidence does not exist. Did evidence suddenly start existing again since they are once again trying to stick it to True President Donald J. Trump. Evidence is only real if they fabricate it and only if it helps them. They are garbage. Pelosi’s dog and pony show is still owned by President Trump. He will own them until they all have passed away.
The worse off the country gets under Biden, the more desperate the Democrat socialists become to destroy Trump’s reputation. Since things started going south the day Biden was installed, they have been working hard on this. It’s becoming more and more challenging to convince people that we are better off under Biden than we would have been with four more years of Trump, so expect the theatrics to keep ramping up.
Jordan was named by the Republicans to be part of the Jan 6 committee the senior Republican . Pelosi, a Democrat, in an unprecedented move decided SHE had the right to reject the Republican nominees and name whom SHE chose. That guaranteed the “committee” was composed entirely of Democrat Trump Haters. Sound Familiar? The Mueller panel was simi;arly com[posed and even then they could not convict Trump.
