A day ago, reports showed satellite images of communist China’s growing invasion fleet for the takeover of Taiwan. Today additional images show how China has built a mock-up of Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, to train its forces to capture the city, essentially decapitating its leadership.
This follows recent reports, that I wrote about here, that Russia is training and equipping a Chinese army battalion for airborne assault, likely to be used on or near the island’s capital of Taipei.
The new satellite imagery demonstrates China’s is indeed reaching the capability to successfully invade the self-ruled democratic island by 2027 as demanded by China’s dictator, Xi Jinping. And this adds to the U.S. rush to prepare for a major conflict with China, something the Trump administration seems laser focused on doing.
China is rapidly expanding the capabilities of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), already making it the world’s largest by hull count, with more than 370 warships and submarines.
This massive fleet includes new, advanced landing dock ships, helicopter carriers, and specialized landing barges that would likely spearhead an assault across the Taiwan Strait onto the island’s most vulnerable beaches.
In the first case of satellite images, Newsweek reported that, “Satellite imagery appears to show a rare assembly of Chinese amphibious assault ships in the Yangtze River Estuary, suggesting a high state of readiness among forces that would likely play a central role in any invasion of Taiwan.”
Newsweek added:
Satellite photos taken on October 6, 2025, show multiple amphibious vessels moored in Shanghai’s Yangtze River Estuary, a key maritime logistics hub.
Open-source defense analyst MT Anderson identified a Type 071 Yuzhao-class landing platform dock (LPD)—a 25,000-ton transport ship capable of carrying landing craft, armored vehicles, and several hundred troops to a contested beachhead during an amphibious assault.
He also noted one of the PLAN’s four Type 075 Yushen-class landing helicopter docks (LHDs) at the same facility. The 075 can embark 60 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), up to 800 troops, and 28 helicopters on its flight deck. “The fact these vessels were at port in Shanghai signals a high level of operational readiness,” Anderson wrote.
Opposite them was the PLAN’s only Type 076 Yulan-class assault ship, the CNS Sichuan, a larger derivative of the 075 that functions as a mini aircraft carrier equipped with electromagnetic catapults and arresting gear for light fixed-wing aircraft.
The outlet continued, noting that, “Roughly 270 miles south, commercial satellite imagery showed three of China’s new “Shuiqiao” amphibious transport barges docked at the Yuhuan Naval Base in eastern Zhejiang province.”
Adding to the proof of China’s intensifying preparations for an invasion, a separate Newsweek article reported on satellite images that “shows China has further expanded its mock-up of Taiwan’s administrative center at a military training base in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.”
Newsweek added that: “The site—centered on a replica of the building housing Taiwan’s Presidential Office—is now triple the size it was in 2020, according to an analysis by the Japan Institute for National Fundamentals (JINF) think tank.”
In describing the site’s significance, Newsweek pointed out that the Zhurihe Combined Tactics Training Base — the largest training facility of the People’s Liberation Army — sprawls across an area nearly the size of Los Angeles. The vast complex is built to mimic realistic battlefield conditions, with terrain varied enough to prepare troops for a range of scenarios.
Analysts noted that the Taipei replicas inside the base appeared to serve a darker purpose: strengthening drills for a potential “decapitation operation” aimed at Taiwan’s leadership.
The article continues by noting that, “In addition to the “Presidential Office Building” completed in 2015, the Zhurihe site now includes a mock-up of Taiwan’s top judicial authority.
JINF also described a 918-foot underground tunnel at the mock-up linking the structure with the mock-up of Taiwan’s “Presidential Office.”
Satellite imagery also shows a red-roofed building opposite the judiciary. According to Newsweek, “JINF said it resembles a structure within Taiwan’s National Defense Reserve Command Headquarters, the agency tasked with mobilizing military reserves.”
Maki Nakagawa, a researcher at the National Institute for Information Research, was quoted as saying that: “By adding a ‘mock Judicial Yuan’ and even building an underground tunnel, the PLA [People’s Liberation Army] is sending a message to Taiwan—that even if you build escape routes, there will be no way out.”
JINF also argues that “The site may also be intended to serve as a tool of psychological warfare against Taiwan.” This same logic could apply to the satellite images of China’s growing invasion fleet.
Meanwhile, to continue intimidating Taiwan and dulling its defenses, Chinese forces have intensified pressure on the island through large-scale military drills and near-daily air sorties across the Taiwan Strait’s median line. These increasingly intense and growing exercises may also provide cover for an actual assault in the near future.

The whole Middle East problem, is just a distraction, taking America and the World’s attention away from the grand prize: Taiwan! The Free World had better get aligned and prepared ASAP before the Commies pull the trigger on their invasion and it won’t just be China, it will include Russia, North Korea and other Communist countries, some which will surprise our Democrat allies. They won’t stop at Taiwan. Wake up Democraps and stop playing your little head games, unless you are complicit with the Commies.
