ANALYSIS – In 2010, the Huffington Post published an article titled: “Barack Obama: America’s First Gay President?” The author, a gay man, noted: “Barack Obama was perhaps the most LGBT-friendly Presidential candidate in the history of the United States. He was our candidate.”
The writer went on to bemoan that despite all the campaign promises, and his actions in his two years office, Obama hadn’t fully lived up to the LGBT movement’s expectations.
I didn’t read the piece then but found it now while reviewing the latest bombshell revelations about Obama’s confessed gay sexual fantasies when in college.
It turns out that Obama may have been ‘more gay’ than most people thought.
David Garrow, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, has claimed that in letters to his then-girlfriend, Obama “repeatedly fantasizes about making love to men.” Garrow should know a thing or two about Obama, he was the author of the 2017 biography “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama.”
As the Independent reported, Obama confessed these fantasies, and more, in at least one letter he wrote to McNear in November 1982, when the 21-year-old Obama was a student with McNear at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
She later redacted excerpts of the letter to hide the gay references. The letter is currently held by Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. (RELATED: Newspaper Shares Salacious Details In Buried Obama Letter)
The Independent added:
Barack Obama once wrote that he made love to men every day “in the imagination” in a love letter to his ex-girlfriend that has surfaced more than 40 years later.
The former US president wrote of his “androgynous mind” in a letter to his then-girlfriend, Alex McNear, which has since resurfaced in the New York Post. In the correspondence, Obama wrote: “In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.”
“My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men,” he added. “But, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept that contingency.”

Does any of this matter? Well, yes. When someone hides their true self and their beliefs and deceives the American people to be elected to the highest office in the land, it matters.
The same goes for claiming to be Christian in a majority Christian country when you are really atheist, agnostic, Muslim or something else. The truth matters.
But Obama’s ambitions also impacted his love life in other ways. He later broke off a serious relationship with another girlfriend – the non-black Sheila Miyoshi Jager – whom he had earlier asked to marry in 1986 (she declined) before Obama strangely and suddenly became hyper-politically ambitious at Harvard Law School.
The Independent noted that:
In the book, Garrow also wrote that [the half black] Obama allegedly attempted to end his relationship with Jager – who is of Japanese and Dutch ancestry – because of race. The author claimed that Obama believed marrying his then-girlfriend would hurt his credibility as an African American politician, writing that he had a “calling” to be president and “a heightened awareness that to pursue it he had to fully identify as African American”.
Soon thereafter, he met and married Michelle Robinson (Obama) and began regularly attending the black nationalist church of the very extreme Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
That, too, says a lot about the man.
In his Huffington Post piece, the gay author says: “Barack Obama may yet become our President, but he has a long way to go. In the meantime, we must remember that Obama is not the leader of our movement; he’s not even a member of our movement.”
‘Au contraire, mon amie,’ Obama may have been a member of the gay movement all along – but just in his mind.
