A Canadian government investigation into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s iron-fisted suppression of COVID lockdown protesters reveals U.S. President Joe Biden applauded the draconian measures and expressed concerns that protests would spread to the U.S.
“The revelations were revealed in testimony and documents tabled Thursday at a public inquiry into the federal government’s decision to use emergency powers to end the ‘Freedom Convoy’ blockades and clear a weeks-long occupation of downtown Ottawa that started in January 2022,” POLITICO reports.
As the “Freedom Convoy” obstructed roads and bridges across Canada to protest brutal Canadian measures to shut down transportation and lock citizens in their homes, Canadian and U.S. officials scrambled to coordinate a response and set up communication between Trudeau and Biden as Trudeau ordered banks to freeze the accounts of his critics.
During a phone call between the two, “POTUS was quite constructive,” wrote Brian Clow, Trudeau’s deputy chief of staff, in a text following the call.
“There was no lecturing. Biden immediately agreed this is a shared problem,” Clow added.
During that call, Trudeau discussed with Biden ways to end Americans’ support of the protesters. Biden, meanwhile, expressed concerns such protests would be seen in the U.S.
“Clow’s text said Trudeau spoke with the president about American influence on the Canadian blockades, including “money, people, and political/media support,” POLITICO reports.
“The president reportedly alluded to trucker convoys rumored to be heading to the Super Bowl in Los Angeles, as well as for the streets of Washington,” POLITICO added.
The investigation is required under Canadian law, which requires a formal review after the prime minister invokes emergency powers to determine if the action was justified.

Mark – you are too kind, I was gonna call them socialists or something similar. Regardless of what label they earn, there is little doubt that they are colluding with each other. The only question is how the big guy got his ‘cut’.
No one pays any attention to what Biden says. He has dementia and is a joke here and abroad. We are all painfully aware of his Socialism and also know the the W.H. is run by Obama , with Susan Rice as his V.P. Eight years of misery wasn’t enough on Obama’s watch.
Anything Biden can say, think, do, sign that will let him vent his hatred, jealousy, resentment, greed and perversion in some form to revenge himself for all his failures as a legitimate person, should not surprise anyone.
The actions of these two is incompatible with freedom. We should skip the impeachment and go straight to the trial for treason. These guys deserve nothing less. Lots of trials after the war.
