PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB) – Elon Musk warns Republicans against standing in Trump’s way — or his. Trump’s second term comes with the specter of the world’s richest man serving as his political enforcer.

Musk not only supports Trump’s agenda and Cabinet appointments but is intent on seeing them through to the point of pressuring Republicans who may be less devout.

He also wants to ‘stop’ federal spending for Lockheed Martin’s F-35. Could that happen? North Texas congressional lawmakers are warning against it, but eliminating the program may be easier said than done.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here’s a roundup of today’s other top defense stories ending the week from conservative national security expert PAUL CRESPO.

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEFING – the PDB:

NATIONAL SECURITY

US military has to be ‘ready to grow’ to take on expanded threats and fight two major conflicts simultaneously, the commandant of the Marine Corps said on Saturday.

CUT THE FAT! – The Army is too top-heavy. It is hard-pressed to meet the requirements of the National Defense Strategy at its current authorized end strength. A major part of the problem is that the Army is awash in staffs, many of which did not exist during World War II, or even in the 1990s. After 9/11, the Army Staff grew by 60 percent, while headquarters and staffs Army-wide ballooned.

HOMELAND SECURITY/LAW ENFORCEMENT

RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR

Biden is rushing aid to Ukraine. Both sides are digging in. And everyone is bracing for Trump.

Negotiations over the war in Ukraine could start ‘in the winter,’ Poland’s leader Tusk says as his country prepares to take over the rotating presidency of the European Union on Jan. 1.

The Russian and Ukrainian militaries are moving to transform their soldiers’ rifles into weapons capable of countering exploding drones, experimenting with different ammunition types to determine the best shot.

Our Armed Forces would better serve America if the Headquarters Staff were cut by at least 75% and the “deadwood” Generals forced to retire!

your comments/views are on target. hopefully, President Trump is aware of these evolving threats and crises. believe that the military must rid itself of WOKE – any military member that subscribes to WOKE needs to be discharged/separated immediately. military is a war machine–not a social experimentation petri dish. military needs to get back to its mission and return to being professional with military customs and courtesies. btw. i believe we met at DIA.
