The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a war powers resolution aimed at ending unauthorized U.S. military involvement in Iran, marking the most significant congressional challenge yet to President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict.

The measure, sponsored by Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) invokes the 1973 War Powers Resolution and would require the administration to obtain explicit authorization from Congress before continuing hostilities against Iran, except in cases involving an imminent threat to the United States. The vote followed months of growing bipartisan concern over a conflict that began in.

PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB) – Earlier, I argued for bringing back to service and court-martialing the veterans among the 6 Democrat politicians who posted a video urging troops to refuse what they called “illegal” orders.

I called it incitement to mutiny.

And sure enough, the senior veteran among them is now being investigated. And may be returned to service to be court-martialed.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the Navy to complete by early next month a review of the Pentagon’s complaint against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), a retired and accomplished Navy Captain, over his recent video urging troops to refuse what Democrats call “illegal” orders made alongside other Democrat lawmakers.

The order comes after the Pentagon said it received “serious allegations of misconduct” against Kelly and initiated a probe into the Arizona senator to “determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures.”

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here’s a roundup of today’s other top defense news from conservative national security expert PAUL CRESPO.

THE PDB – Not the President’s Daily Briefing, but almost as good – PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF:

AI-guided FPV swarms make every soldier a hunted target. Soldiers must now contend with $500 quadcopter that knows his face from TikTok video posted two years earlier, has been allocated to him by name, and is one of ten drones launched simultaneously to ensure at least one penetrates his unit’s electronic warfare screen.

In 2024, plurality of Americans believed their country’s limited resources and growing problems at home merited withdrawal from some international engagement. The belief that it will be best for America if takes active part in world affairs has steadily declined under both Trump and Biden, falling by 10% from its 2018 peak of 70%.

Japan to put SAMs on strategic island 70 miles from Taiwan could be just the beginning. For second time in week, Japanese fighters scrambled to intercept Chinese drone near island of Yonaguni. The events highlight increasing strategic importance of Japan’s southernmost island, which has seen expanded presence of Japanese and U.S. forces.

China warns it will “crush” any foreign attempts to interfere on behalf of Taiwan, after Japan announced plans to deploy missiles near the democratically governed island.

RUSSIA THREAT

U.S. Army secretary warned Ukraine of imminent defeat while pushing initial peace plan, a grim assessment.

While reports suggest Ukraine and U.S. have tentative agreement to end war with Russia, single biggest question is what security guarantee will look like.

Airpower security guarantees: A means of lasting peace in Ukraine. No peace agreement can endure without credible security guarantees, and nowhere are those guarantees more essential than in the air.

I hope this happens. If the court martial occurs, I 100% support it the outcome. This guy and the other 5 are trying to be subversive to the Trump administration and the US. Plus, set an example for the rest of the democrats (marxists).
