There’s Far More At Stake In GOP Primary Debate Than Trump Wants You To Believe

To debate or not to debate? That’s the question facing our former President Donald Trump.

It is easy to understand why he wants to skip next week’s Fox News Republican presidential primary debate. He has a commanding lead in the polls. He doesn’t need to be on stage where multiple candidates will attack him. (RELATED: DeSantis Allies Reveal Entire Debate Strategy Online)

But there is far more at stake!

Trump may be the Republican nominee. He might not have to debate at all in the primary with all these other candidates splitting the anti-Trump vote. But, if he doesn’t he is killing his chances in the general election.

Who else doesn’t want to debate? Answer: Joe Biden. He cannot perform for an hour or two on stage forming full sentences. He cannot even get on Air Force One without an incident.  He needs the Easter Bunny to tell him where to go. Just look at his comment about the wildfires on Maui. He said “no comment.” No comment? Did he think it was a question about Hunter? Yes, Biden is that far gone. So what better way to get out of debating than to say Trump did not debate during the primary so we don’t need a debate in the general election?!

That’s what will happen.

We have a United States Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania because he was allowed to hold off on debates until after all the early votes had been cast. 

Biden will most certainly use Trump’s failure to debate in the primary to avoid debates in the general election. And we all know how critical debates are in the race for president. If Mitt Romney had not let Barack Obama off the ropes, he would probably have been President. Trump masterfully handled Hillary. There are tons of examples of debates making the difference.

A Biden vs. Trump debate would definitely put the former president back into the White House. I want to see Trump hold him accountable for Afghanistan, Ukraine, the price of gas, etc. But that will not happen if Trump skips this Wednesday’s debate.
