Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB) – In his first 100 days, President Trump exerted his power in a sweep and scale that has no easy historical comparison.

His actions target the failed liberal architecture of the New Deal and the Great Society, but they hardly stop there. He is also rewriting the sometimes outdated Reagan Republican orthodoxy of free trade and international alliances.

All of it is in service of fundamentally altering the role of government in American life and the U.S. place in the world.

To implement parts of his vision, he deployed Elon Musk to dismantle the federal workforce.

Trump also has begun to remake the mostly outdated post-World War II alliance with Europe. He has made emergency declarations to rewrite the rules of global trade and ordered the removal of illegal criminal migrants to a prison in El Salvador.

He has also taken aim at law, media, public health and culture, attempting to bring them all to heel, with some surprising success.

Most of his actions were promised during his campaign and he has implemented them with blunt force aggressiveness. WELL DONE.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here’s a roundup of today’s other top defense stories ending the week from conservative national security expert PAUL CRESPO.

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEFING – the PDB:
