Andrew Cuomo Seeks to Disbar New York Attorney General in New Ethics Complaint

-

Disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo is continuing his crusade against New York Attorney General Letitia James by filing an against her.

On Tuesday, Cuomo filed the complaint with the Attorney Grievance Committee, which has the authority to disbar New York lawyers, according to POLITICO.

Throughout the 48-page complaint, Cuomo repeats claims he's levied against AG James since his resignation last August that James' report was politically motivated, intentionally inflated the allegations made against him and left out information.

“She engaged in a terrible and quite obvious manipulation of facts, evidence and the law, furthered a false narrative about me and hid evidence that undermined the report from the and the public,” Cuomo argued in the complaint.

Cuomo also singled out two investigators who assisted in forming the bombshell report, Joon Kim and Anne Clark, and accused them of violating multiple attorney conduct rules.

“James issued a Report, with the assistance of her hand-picked investigators Mr. Kim and Ms. Clark, that was grossly misleading, and purposefully omitted critical information that was inconsistent with credible allegations of sexual harassment,” Cuomo's complaint reads. James' office conducted a months-long investigation into Cuomo, concluding with an August 2021 report that said he sexually harassed at least 11 women from 2013 to 2020. The report ultimately led to his resignation last year and has been the subject of scrutiny from Cuomo who is desperately trying to repair his reputation.

The New York AG's office responded to Cuomo's complaint defending the report saying James as well as the investigators “hold themselves to the highest ethical standards. Mr. Cuomo resigned after an independent investigation revealed that he preyed on multiple women who worked for him. New Yorkers are ready to move forward and close this sordid chapter in our state's history.”

Over the past year, Cuomo has worked to repair his tarnished reputation by claiming James sought to inflate her own public image by publishing a report riddled with misinformation. Cuomo has alleged James' true motive behind the report is her desire to run for higher office in the near future. (RELATED: Accused Sexual Predator Andrew Cuomo Considering Running for Office Again)

Earlier this year, James announced a campaign for New York governor before opting to withdraw from the race and seek another term as attorney general.

Last month, Cuomo also filed a lawsuit against Attorney General for failing to provide him with legal representation when he was taken to court over harassment allegations.

Cuomo argued that he is entitled to representation at the state's expense to defend a lawsuit against him because the allegations against him happened “while he was acting within the scope of his public employment and duties.” (RELATED: New York Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin Resigns)

A spokesperson for James strongly pushed back against Cuomo's claims.

“Sexually harassing young women who work for you is not part of anyone's job description,” a spokesperson for James told the New York Daily News. “Taxpayers should not have to pony up for legal bills that could reach millions of dollars so Mr. Cuomo's lawyer can attack survivors of his abuse.”

  1. I hope that the toilet paper Cuomo used in his allegations against the AG of NY gets used as it was meant to be. The chronic sexual abuser should be laughed out of court and then made to pay millions to the survivors of his assaults.

  2. If ur so innocent Mr Bozo Cuomo you would’ve fought it but you just resigned cause you know it’s true. The only think is YOU thought you’d get away with it because of who you are and what your title was. You deserve all you’ve gotten and more. CNY has no respect for people like you and are happy your gone and now we will work on replacing Yockal Huchole

  3. Cuomo, James and Hochul should all be disbarred, impeached and removed from the sight of New Yorkers in particular and of Americans in general for the rest of their miserable lives. And throw Chuck Schumer and AOC in with them. They are all disgraceful Democrats….Oh! But I repeat myself…..

    • I could have written this word for word. But, I have to make one statement here….I am actually rooting for Cuomo in his quest to rid us of this egregious AG. She is Inspector Javert all over again. Having said that, I really don’t want to see the likes of Cuomo (or those others) again.

  4. While I have little respect for Cuomo, it is quite apparent that James has few ethics herself. She blatantly claimed while running for office she was going after Trump and the NRA. Her prosecutions and lawsuits always lean against conservatives, with Cuomo being an outlier. And he was because she wanted him out of the way to run for Governor herself.

    • Yes Yes. You are absolutely on target here. She should not be permitted to continue as AG – she had only one intention and that was to harm and eventually destroy Pres Trump and his family….as well as get Cuomo out of the way to allow her to run for Governor (good grief). That should be cause for impeachment.
I’m not sad that Cuomo is gone…(i’m actually relieved and happy, aside from the horror we inherited in his place)…. but I do hope he prevails in this quest to rid us of her.
