The charges against the world’s number one golfer, Scottie Scheffler, have been dropped following his arrest outside the PGA Championship.
Scheffler had been facing multiple charges, including a felony for allegedly assaulting an officer.
Louisville police officers were directing traffic after a fatal car crash outside the clubhouse.

On Wednesday afternoon, Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell requested that all charges be dropped against Scheffler. Speaking before a judge, O’Connell concurred that “Mr. Scheffler’s characterization that this was a big misunderstanding is corroborated by the evidence.”

The agreement reportedly stipulates that both parties agree not to take any legal action related to the consequences of the May 17 arrest.
