WASHINGTON, D.C. — Federal authorities have identified a Nebraska man as the alleged mastermind behind a foiled mass casualty plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn, a high-profile gathering attended by President Donald Trump and other senior political figures.
According to court documents and statements released by the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha, Nebraska, served as the primary organizer of an alleged conspiracy that investigators say involved explosive-laden drones, sniper teams, and plans to attack both government officials and civilians attending the June 14 event.
The alleged scheme was disrupted in a coordinated operation involving the FBI, Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and multiple federal field offices. Five men were arrested across four states and now face serious federal charges, including conspiracy to commit murder on White House grounds — a crime punishable by life imprisonment.
Authorities say the attack was stopped before any weapons or explosives could be deployed.
Alleged Ringleader Operated Under Alias “Shepherd”
Federal investigators identified Alvarez as the central figure behind the conspiracy, alleging he coordinated planning efforts through encrypted communications channels using the online alias “Shepherd.”
According to charging documents, Alvarez directed operational discussions involving drone deployment, weapons acquisition, sniper positioning, evacuation routes, and target selection.
The FBI arrested Alvarez during a raid at a former church property he owns in the village of Western, Nebraska. Investigators allege he used encrypted messaging platforms to communicate with co-conspirators spread across multiple states.
Prosecutors describe Alvarez as the group’s leader, claiming he was responsible for coordinating logistics and directing other participants involved in the alleged plot.
Plot Allegedly Designed to Create Mass Panic
Court filings describe a sophisticated attack plan intended to maximize casualties through a two-stage assault.
According to prosecutors, the conspirators allegedly planned to launch explosive-laden drones near the White House event venue, triggering panic and forcing thousands of attendees to flee.
Once crowds began evacuating, sniper teams would allegedly open fire on civilians, security personnel, and designated high-value targets.
Federal authorities say the objective was to create a mass casualty event capable of causing widespread loss of life while targeting prominent political figures.
Investigators contend the plot was still in the planning stages when law enforcement intervened.
No explosives were deployed, no shots were fired, and the UFC Freedom 250 event proceeded as scheduled without incident.
Trump, Vance, Musk, and Netanyahu Listed as Targets
Court documents indicate that the alleged conspirators discussed targeting several internationally prominent figures expected to be present at or associated with the event.
According to federal filings, the list of potential targets included:
- President Donald Trump
- Vice President JD Vance
- Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Authorities have not publicly disclosed whether the suspects had developed specific operational plans for each individual target, but prosecutors allege that discussions involving high-profile political and public figures occurred within the encrypted communications recovered during the investigation.
The White House has not publicly commented on the details contained in the charging documents.
Five Men Arrested Across Four States
Federal authorities announced the arrests of five men accused of participating in the conspiracy.
Those charged include:
Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez
Age 31, Omaha, Nebraska
Investigators identify Alvarez as the alleged ringleader and primary organizer of the plot.
Bryan Omar Roa
Age 24, Calimesa, California
Prosecutors allege Roa participated in discussions involving tactics, reconnaissance, and operational planning.
Michael Alan Thomas
Age 32, Pinon Hills, California
Authorities say Thomas helped discuss attack logistics and scouting activities.
Tycen C. Proper
Age 19, Danville, Ohio
Investigators allege Proper assisted with communications and operational coordination through encrypted platforms.

Daniel K. Eskridge
Age 32, Kidder, Missouri
According to prosecutors, Eskridge helped store tactical equipment and participated in planning discussions.
Federal officials say the investigation remains ongoing and additional individuals may face scrutiny as investigators continue reviewing communications and digital evidence.
DHS Highlights Immigration History
The Department of Homeland Security emphasized Alvarez’s immigration status following his arrest.
According to DHS, Alvarez is a Mexican national who entered the United States on a B-2 visitor visa and remained after that visa expired in 2001.
The department said Alvarez later received protection under the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2014.
Following his arrest, Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer seeking custody of Alvarez should he be released from federal criminal proceedings.
Administration officials cited the case as evidence of broader concerns regarding immigration enforcement and the long-term consequences of allowing individuals who overstay visas to remain in the country.
Civil liberties advocates, however, cautioned against drawing broader policy conclusions from allegations that have not yet been tested in court.
Coordinated Federal Investigation
The investigation involved cooperation among the FBI, Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and federal prosecutors.
Officials say investigators uncovered online discussions involving threats against public officials and large public gatherings before identifying individuals allegedly connected to the conspiracy.
Authorities subsequently launched a multi-state operation that culminated in simultaneous arrests across Nebraska, Ohio, Missouri, and California.
Federal officials credited intelligence gathering, surveillance operations, and interagency cooperation with disrupting the alleged plot before it advanced beyond the planning phase.
Event Proceeded Without Incident
Despite the alleged threat, UFC Freedom 250 was held on the White House South Lawn on June 14 without disruption.
The event drew thousands of attendees and featured appearances by prominent political figures as part of broader celebrations surrounding America’s 250th anniversary.
Law enforcement officials say the public was never in immediate danger because authorities had already identified and monitored the suspects before the event took place.
Nevertheless, prosecutors characterize the alleged conspiracy as one of the most serious domestic terror plots uncovered in recent years due to its combination of drone attacks, sniper tactics, and the targeting of senior government officials.
The defendants remain presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. If convicted on the most serious charges, they could face life imprisonment.

Just not buying it…first of all, any anti-government plotters who know what “EDC” stands for knows that Signal is compromised. It was designed by the CIA, ffs. Also, where were the drones supposed to be staged and operated from and the snipers positioned? Near the White House, in the most surveilled patch of ground on the planet?
