An active shooter situation is being reported at Northside Hospital in Midtown Atlanta.
Initial reports state the gunman has injured multiple people and remains at large as of this publication.
Authorities insist the public avoid the Midtown area until further notice.
FOX 5 Atlanta reports:
Atlanta Police have released photos of the suspect, who is still on the loose.
At this time, there are four victims, according to Atlanta Police. Three of the victims were transported to the hospital for treatment and a fourth person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they have not heard any additional shot.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens says he is in close contact with Atlanta Police.
Anyone still in the area is being advised to shelter in place.
