Police Provide Chilling Update Involving Manhunt For Illegal Fugitive

-

A convicted murderer who entered this country illegally remains on the loose in Southeastern .

And he is now armed.

, 34, escaped prison two weeks ago. Last night, an East Nantmeal homeowner crossed paths with the convicted killer, who had broken into his garage and was stealing a .22 caliber rifle with a scope, flashlight and 10-round magazine. The homeowner fired shots at Cavalcante, but he escaped.

According to the eyewitness, Cavalcante fled into the woods wearing only blue pants. Local residents are advised to exercise extreme caution. At least one school district in Philadelphia's far western suburbs canceled classes Tuesday.

Cavalcante's sister refused to aid authorities and faces deportation.

Tactical teams with the Pennsylvania State Police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection continue to scour the area.

One of their members confidently predicted to reporters that “this mission is going to be finished today.”

ABC News has more, including the latest updates from Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens:

Cavalcante's prison shoes were recovered Monday night and another resident said a pair of work boots were stolen from her porch, Bivens said.

“Residents in the area are asked to lock all doors and windows, secure vehicles, and remain indoors. Do not approach. Call 911 if seen,” Pennsylvania State Police officials wrote in social media post.

Bivens said on Monday that Cavalcante's sister chose not to help in the investigation, and because she has an overstay status, she has been entered into a deportation proceeding and is being detained.

Police said Monday they were concerned Cavalcante will try to steal another car and they're urging the public to check their home surveillance videos and keep their houses and cars secured.

Cavalcante has already snuck past a checkpoint and stole a van, which he used to attempt to enlist the help of two former work colleagues.

  1. I hope they take this no-good SOB out before he kills or harms anyone. And get his no-good SOB sister out of the country, post haste. And tell Bribem to shove his illegal aliens up his rear orifice.

  2. Yep, this exactly what the Dems and left want! This guy already murdered two people after he escaped. Let’s hope he doesn’t kill any more.
This country is going to he ll under Dems control and their lefty constituents! They must be very proud of themselves! What a very sick bunch!1

  3. It would have helped to have a picture of this felon. A flashlight does not make a .22 rifle a high powered weapon, learn something about what you are reporting on please. This rifle is a squirrel rifle, not a deer slayer.

  4. Some globalist puppet, god worshiping, demonrat criminal voter did something and will be arraigned by some globalist puppet, god worshiping, demonrat CRIMINAL judge . . . . . .
