Officers responded afterward to reports of a possible at a Middletown Township home. Around the same time, a woman told 911 she had found her husband's head inside their home.

“We got called to the home and officers went in and discovered the father upstairs deceased,” Middletown Police Chief Joe Bartorilla told reporters outside the residence.

Investigators quickly identified the suspect in the video as Justin Mohn. After a search, authorities found Mohn in his father's vehicle nearly two hours to the west, close to America's busiest National Guard training center.

In the video, Mohn railed against his father, proclaiming, “This is the head of Mike Mohn, a federal employee of over 20 years, and my father. He is now in hell for eternity as a traitor to his country.”

“The federal government of America has declared war on America's citizens and the American states,” his son declared. “America is rotting from the inside out as far-left woke mobs rampage our once prosperous cities, turning them into lawless zones.”

Mediaite has a partial transcript:

[A] fifth column army of illegal immigrants infiltrates our border, and if the traitorous Biden regime is successful in sending America's military overseas to fight for and die in a Russian winter just like every other military who has ever fought Russia in the winter, then America will be less protected when the fifth column of illegal immigrants strikes Americans on our own soil. …

If you are a federal employee and are listening to this message, now is your last chance to resign from the side of the traitors and join your countrymen in taking back your country. … I urge the U.S. Postal Service to suspend their services at this time, split from the federal government, and join your countrymen, or else I cannot offer federal postal workers any protection. If the begins to spread lies about this revolution and its patriots. Then I authorize the targeting of news stations and their owners and employees as well. The hunting, capturing, and killing of America's federal employees will not stop until Americans' demands are met.

Mohn persistently voiced far-right conspiracy theories and demanded President Biden's “abdication.”

The 14-minute video was still available on YouTube for several hours, despite its graphic nature.

Following his apprehension, Mohn was formally charged with several felony offenses in the early hours of Wednesday morning. They include first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possessing an instrument of with intent.

Mohn has a history of legal disputes with the federal government, as NBC News reports:

Justin Mohn has filed at least three lawsuits against federal agencies, including the U.S. government, claiming they negligently caused him to take out student loans between 2010 and his graduation from Pennsylvania State University in 2014, a court filing shows.

He paid a filing fee of $2,000 and, after his claims were dismissed, he sought to have the judge recused from the case because of what he claimed was a personal bias and a conflicting personal financial interest.

The judge dismissed Mohn's accusations as “entirely speculative and without factual basis,” adding that Mohn's objections amounted to the “inaccurate allegations of a disappointed college graduate.”
