Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) says two volunteers for his campaign were targeted and attacked over the weekend.
According to The Washington Examiner, a man allegedly chased the volunteers, attempted to “drag them out of their car,” and damaged the side-view mirrors on their car, per the campaign.
Mark Miner, communications director for the Abbott campaign slammed the attack in a statement labeling the incident an act of “political violence.”
“Political violence is never acceptable. With just over a month until Election Day, the passion to win should never bubble over into something more dangerous,” Mark said in a statement. “There is no place for this in Texas.”
The campaign said that the suspect was taken into custody by Harris County, Texas, officials and that he has been charged with criminal mischief. Authorities charged the man after finding pieces of the vehicle in the suspect’s trash can.
Governor Abbott is locked in a contentious re-election battle against Democrat challenger Beto O’Rourke. While the campaign has been filled with dramatics, mostly stemming from O’Rourke’s campaign the incumbent governor is expected to win another term according to the most recent polls.
Real Clear Politics rates the Texas gubernatorial race as “leans GOP,” with Abbott showing a 7.5-point lead over O’Rourke based on the election forecaster’s average polling average.
However, the threat of political violence against Republicans has recently come into the foreground as more and more Democrats decry the threat of “MAGA extremists.”
Recently President Biden, who once labeled himself as a “unifier for the country” attacked Republicans during speeches labeling the party “fascists.” Political experts urged Biden to backtrack on his rhetoric against Republicans out of concern it could trigger acts of violence across the country. Earlier this month, 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson was murdered by a North Dakota man in a hit-and-run incident after the man claimed the boy was a “Republican extremist.”(RELATED: North Dakota Man Released After Killing Teenage ‘Republican Extremist’)

But you know how democrats are always accusing others of what they themselves are actually doing. Another thing fascists do is command private businesses to do the governments dirty work. So you have Bidet, the DOJ, FBI and most cabinet level parts of Bidet’s government fascistly ordering social media to parrot their dogmas and stories, and censor those who attempt to speak against them. They have businesses create mask and vaccine mandates and have them fire those who will not toe the government line. They have financial establishments use ESG to limit oil production and they pressure oil companies to lower prices despite higher costs. Lots of examples I’m sure you can find for yourselves. Since Biden pronounced Republicans to be Nazi white supremacist-racist extremists, the attacks on Republicans were bound to escalate even to the point of murder, as in the North Dakota case. Vandalizing and destroying property of Biden’s opponents is typical Democrat behavior. I don’t think it will increase Beto’s share of the vote in November. Most Dems are perverted scum.
