Tech Mogul Killed In Violent Attack In San Fransisco

-

Tech executive , the co-founder of the popular payment service Cash App, was killed Tuesday in a stabbing in San Francisco.

The Police Department (SFPD) said in a release that officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 2:35 a.m. and found a 43-year-old male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. Officers aided Lee and called medics to the scene, but he died from his injuries at a local hospital.

While San Francisco officials seriously consider a $5 million per person reparations proposal, remains a severe problem for the city. A 2022 survey of 1,653 San Franciscans commissioned by The San Francisco Chronicle found that 45% of respondents acknowledge being the victim of theft, and 24% experienced violent crime or had been threatened with violence.

Lee was the former chief technology officer of Square and the chief product officer for MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency company.

SFPD said an investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

“Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by a loving family and collection of close friends and collaborators,” said Joshua Goldbard, CEO of MobileCoin.

“Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article,” Goldbard added. “He was made for the world that is being born right now, he was a child of dreams, and whatever he imagined, no matter how crazy, he made real.”

  1. Could this crime be another reason to stay out of San Francisco and California in general. Not that there aren’t enough reasons currently but just another brick in the wall.

  2. The people of Saan Francisco have created the circumstances in which they live (and die). It’s hard to dredge up a lot of sympathy when they get what they voted for.

  3. San Francisco….people are just dying to live there.

Vote Democrat – theh approved this message

  4. As someone who was born and raised in San Francisco, it is not even a shadow of what it was. Yes, has living conditions improved for Bay Area residents? Depends on who you ask. A poll of 1600 people is barely a snapshot of what the remaining 700k+ residing in the City by the Bay experience on a day to day basis.

A simple online search of “San Francisco crime” will tell you all you need to know. Once thriving on tourism, now those areas have become public displays of how not not manage trash or the homeless.

On the upside, San Francisco still and no matter what climate junkies or money grabbers will tell you, continue to have some of the best weather, views, and yes, people living there. In spite of what certain political forces have turned it into.

The outward migration has outpaced those moving to CA, only to be mitigated by the influx of undocumented immigrants.

While I still have family and friends choosing to stay there, I for one had to make the call to run knowing I can’t hide for long from the Progressive Locusts that too looking for greener pastures to devour. 😞

Yep, and some criminal took him out, guess his dreams are over. Lax laws are not the answer. IMO
