The would-be assassin of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — Sophie Roske (formerly Nicholas Roske) — was just sentenced to eight years and one month in prison on Friday night.
The sentence, issued by Judge Deborah Boardman — a Biden appointee — was far lighter than the 30-year minimum sought by prosecutors. Justice Department attorneys argued the assassination plot was nothing less than a political act to intimidate the Court.
However, Boardman pointed to “mitigating factors”: Roske had no criminal record, called 911 before going through with the attack, apologized in court to Kavanaugh and his family, and cooperated with investigators. She also said she weighed Trump’s executive order on transgender inmate housing as part of her decision.

Roske pleaded guilty in April to one charge of attempting to murder a Supreme Court justice, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
On June 8, 2022, Roske flew from California to Virginia and took a taxi to Kavanaugh’s address, armed with a pistol, knife, lock picking set, duct tape, hammer, crowbar and tactical gear.
In the weeks leading up to the incident, the defendant searched extensively online for information about several justices, mass shooters, ways to harm people and graphic images of people with knife wounds. One search read, “Does twisting or dragging a knife cause more damage.”
Roske’s internet history also signaled a desire to affect the outcome of the then-looming Dobbs decision, in which the Supreme Court was expected to overturn the federal right to abortion.
The Post Millennial reported Roske came out as transgender not long after being taken into custody and started going by Sophie in court. The legal name Nicholas John Roske hasn’t changed — but filings quickly switched to “Ms. Roske” at the defense team’s request.

Any person trying to kill another does not deserve any leniency regardless if they identify as a jackass. This person apologized only to get a lighter sentence. The appointed Biden judge should be stripped of thier credentials for using “transgender identiy” as a basis for the decision, Bottom line!!
