Tragedy Strikes Trump-Supporting Reality TV Family: Multiple Killed

The latest updates deliver a mix of hope and heartbreak…

TUSCOLA COUNTY, Mich. — Three members of the family featured on TLC’s reality show Meet the Putmans were killed late Friday in a car crash that also left at least five others hospitalized, according to family statements and local authorities.

The crash occurred around 9 p.m. in rural Michigan when a semi-truck failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Jeep carrying eight family members.

Three occupants of the Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, a 55-year-old Florida man, and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. The truck driver was arrested, and authorities said the case will be referred for charges.

The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the intersection of Deckerville Road and Hurds Corner Road, where they found a chaotic scene with multiple injuries. Fire crews, EMS, and police from nearby jurisdictions were already on site providing aid.

Family members later identified the deceased as Bill “Papa” Putman, the family patriarch; his wife, Barb “Neenee” Putman; and their daughter-in-law, Megan Putman. The injured include Blake Putman, Bill and Barb’s son and Megan’s husband, along with their children Noah, 15, Lulu, 13, and Alena, 11, as well as a niece, Gia.

The family’s heartfelt plea continued. “We are asking for complete healing and strength for each of them,” they said, before turning to those who had rallied around them. “Thank you for every prayer, message, and act of love. Your support means more than words can express.”

Latest updates bring a mix of hope and heartbreak: Noah is still sedated but responding slightly, while young Gia endured emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure. Doctors say her intracranial pressure has dropped — a promising sign in a critical fight.

In their latest update, the surviving family members closed with a message of faith and gratitude. “Through it all, we continue to hold tightly to our faith, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for everything. Even in the hardest moments, He is present, working in ways we may not yet understand,” they wrote. Their statement carried both resilience and thanks: “Thank you all for the continued prayers, love, and support. We feel your strength and faith surrounding us. Please keep lifting Noah and Gia up as they heal.”

Fans of Meet the Putmans and the family’s YouTube series Growing Up Putman continue to share condolences across social media. Even now, the family’s remarkable lifestyle draws attention for its size, communal living, and faith-based approach.
