According to Israeli officials, pro-Palestinian and Islamist sentiment surged on Dutch social media channels on Nov. 7, one day before the first attacks. Despite this warning, large crowds gathered outside the stadium, and many Arab members within local law enforcement reportedly allowed agitators to target Jewish attendees, undermining police efforts to maintain order.

The Israeli Defense Force has since issued a travel advisory, banning service members from visiting the Netherlands until further notice.
