China-Russia-North Korea Military Axis Congeals

TUESDAY – Seoul's spy agency says Russia has likely proposed North Korea to join three-way drills with China has likely proposed that North Korea participate in three-way naval exercises with China.

North Korea's Kim Jong Un may meet with Putin in Russia this month. Kim Jong Un may travel to Russia soon to meet with as the Kremlin tries to acquire military equipment for use in its war in Ukraine.

NATIONAL SECURITY

GOP plays up Pentagon accounting woes ahead of Ukraine spending fight. The Pentagon's several billion-dollar accounting error in previously approved aid packages to Ukraine is fodder for a growing group of Republicans seeking to derail Biden's request for an additional $24 billion for Kyiv.

CHINA THREAT 

Chinese gate-crashers at US bases spark espionage concerns. There have been about 100 incidents involving Chinese nationals trying to access military and other installations in U.S.

IT'S ALL CHINESE THEATER AND MANIPULATION – A year after China cut mil-to-mil contacts with US, a hint of thaw? INDOPACOM commander met with Chinese military delegation.

House Armed Svcs leader vows ‘resolute reaction' if Taiwan attacked. “Know that any hostile unprovoked attack on Taiwan will result in a resolute reaction from the U.S.,” said Rob Wittman, vice chair of House Armed Services.

RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR

Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 559. Russia launched a drone attack on Ukraine's Danube River port of Izmail, causing extensive damage to infrastructure. This, just before talks between Vladimir Putin and Turkey's president, which may look to revive the Black Sea grain deal abandoned by Moscow in July.

Russians press Ukraine in the northeast. Moscow is staging a ferocious push in northeast Ukraine designed to distract Ukrainian forces from their counteroffensive. 

Russia-led alliance holds military drills in Belarus. The exercises, lasting through Wednesday, are to prepare for joint operations, including responses to a nuclear accident.  

Pentagon officials debate whether to replace extra US troops deployed to Eastern Europe or bring them home. The U.S. began sending extra U.S. troops to allies amid concerns from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Some argue their presence is no longer needed. 

Finland weighs making combat vehicles in Ukraine. Finnish armored vehicles manufacturer Patria is the latest European company to consider a production site in Ukraine, following similar plans by officials in Germany and Sweden.

NORTH KOREA THREAT

North Korea fires cruise missiles into the sea. The launches come two days after the U.S. and South Korean militaries wrapped up their 11-day training exercises.

SPACE THREAT

Space Development Agency launches 13 satellites on SpaceX rocket. These satellites are laying the foundation for a constellation that will serve as the backbone of the Pentagon's vision for all-domain operations.

Space Force joins US-ROK joint drill for the first time; B-1 participates as well. U.S. Air Force B-1 bombers flew across the skies of South Korea this week as part of an annual joint military drill between the two nations known as ‘Ulchi Freedom Shield.'

HOMELAND SECURITY

US troops will stay at the southern border at least through Sept. 30. The mission was first extended to Thursday, and the defense secretary has now extended it again until the end of September.

Two ex-Proud Boys leaders get among longest sentences in Jan. 6 attack. The 17-year prison term for organizer Joseph Biggs and 15-year stint for leader Zachary Rehl were the second and third longest sentences handed down yet.

Unattended explosives found at Camp Pendleton triggered evacuation. Packaged military explosives were found in an office building on Wednesday. 

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

Marines' Pacific air-defense unit is back with drone-killing abilities. Hawaii has been home to a flurry of activations and deactivations as part of Force Design 2030.

CAUGHT WITH PANTS DOWN? – Cuba uncovers network trafficking Cubans to fight for Russia in Ukraine. Cuba says it has no part in war in Ukraine and would ‘act vigorously' against those trafficking Cubans as fighters.

Japan's top court orders Okinawa to allow a divisive government plan to build US military runways. This, despite protests by locals who oppose the American troops' presence.

  1. Why wouldn’t the 3 largest communist countries form a type of alliance against Ukraine, the EU and America that pushed for this war with NATO that refused to work out grievances with Russia ? They were so rude they would not even acknowledge a request to talk more than once ! This was of course an intended war on the part of NATO/World Order alliances – it would give them more power over neighboring nations so they could push the World Order ahead. China is the only $$ threat to overcome but they can’t dismiss the Huge military. However if they can break China’s threat to being the dominant currency of Trade then they can break their strength as a world trading / selling power and perhaps their rail building in Africa and the M.E. The Ukraine war was a Stupid/Ignorant move that in the end will accomplish nothing but leave mud on the face of the U.S.
