Devastating US War With China Over Taiwan Coming Soon – But When?

-

ANALYSIS – Communist has been on a war footing for over a decade. At least since 's rise to power in 2012. In the last few years, many China hawks, including me, have been warning of a looming major U.S. military conflict with China over . This huge fight is going to be brutal, deadly, wildly expensive and will have long-lasting consequences for everyone involved and many not directly engaged.

Despite those on Team Biden who are desperately trying to reset relations with China, as if being publicly more cordial will change the inevitable, it is becoming clearer that war with China over Taiwan isn't a matter of if but when. And more and more military leaders understand that and are willing to say so. And the timeline varies from now to four years from now, in 2027.

As I have previously written about, Admiral Michael Gilday, chief of U.S. naval operations, said last year that the Pentagon should not rule out “a 2022 window or potentially a 2023 window” for such a move against Taiwan by the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Weeks later, the head of the Air Mobility Command, General Mike Minihan, said: “My gut tells me we will fight in 2025.”

Some, including Minihan and myself, have suggested that if the U.S. goes through major domestic political upheaval during the 2024 election (as is very likely), early 2025, when the new president is inaugurated, would be a smart time for China to strike. More recently, I reported that A Marine Corps general had told his “newly promoted commander of the newly stood up, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR) in Hawaii (created specifically for a fight with China) that war will be coming during his current tour of duty.” That means the next three years.

But it's not only our top warfighters who are saying it, 's CIA director, , has stated that China wants to be prepared to invade Taiwan by 2027. And Secretary of State said in March he concurred with that assessment.

Still, some have been told to rein in the war talk. U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander Admiral John C. Aquilino said in May that an attack by China on Taiwan was not inevitable.

Meanwhile, General , the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and America's senior military officer also believes China's leadership is hell-bent on having the military capability to try to seize Taiwan by 2027.

But Milley distinguishes between China having the nominal capability and ‘pulling the trigger.' (RELATED: Trump Fued With General Milley Played Role In Classified Docs Case)

Speaking at a National Press Club event in Washington on Friday and reported by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), Milley sought to clarify the U.S. 's assessment of Beijing's intentions towards Taiwan.

Milley noted that China's leader Xi “has stated publicly that he has challenged the People's Liberation Army to develop the military capability to unify Taiwan with China by 2027. So he didn't say, ‘I've decided to attack and invade.'”

“He said, you generals, you develop the capability to do that; we'll make the decision later. There's a very subtle distinction there,” Milley added.

And that is true. And that is where our actions, military preparations and those of our allies come into play.

SCMP continued quoting Milley:

“The decision-making process will still have to occur, and that's what I'm getting at with the idea of deterrence.” “You want to make sure that every single day President Xi wakes up and says today's not that day, and that decision never comes,” Milley said.

“The faster we move [on military modernization], the faster we can retain military superiority, then I believe … we are more likely than not to deter war … and if war does happen, we will prevail.”

Milley is right about the last part of this statement, “the faster we can retain military superiority, then I believe … we are more likely than not to deter war … and if war does happen, we will prevail.”

I think we may have already squandered our opportunity to deter a Chinese attack. We now need to focus on preparing to win the war when it does come. And it's coming – soon.

  1. I find it absolutely impossible to understand what Biden, the Commander in Chief is doing. Decommissioning both the Nimitz and Eisenhauer at a time like this when the world seems about to explode into WW3. In addition to that, not long ago several other fairly new ships were decommissioned and sold for scrap. Biden is literally giving our country away.

  2. There will not be a war with China 🇨🇳, unless the globalists want one! The Biden’s have already been bought off by Xi, and will help give Taiwan to China for a few more dollars of bribe money 💴 !

    • Ron C, I really hope I’m wrong but my feelings are that Biden has thoroughly sold us out to China. I also feel he wants a war between us and China that we’ll simply be unable to win. It will obviously be a sea war fo the most part, and two of our top-of-the-line carriers are about to be decommissioned. In addition to that, other reasonably new ships have been decommissioned and sold for scrap. Our Navy is down by 1/3. That means we don’t have the personnel to run the active ships we have. The Army is having a lot of trouble recruiting. The Marine Corps is undermanned and the Air Force is retiring the A-10 Warthogs, our ground support fighters. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if we’d better brush up on our Chinese.

  3. Since communists are nothing more than Democrats in overdrive, is it any wonder why they don’t want war with a free country???
