“The decision has been made. This will happen. The only question is when.”
A Western source familiar with coordination talks told Iran International — a London-based Persian-language news channel — that decision-making circles in the United States and Israel have moved beyond diplomacy with Iran and that a military strike is considered “virtually certain,” with only timing to be determined.
The United States has deployed a carrier strike group led by the USS Abraham Lincoln and additional naval and air assets to the Middle East amid rising tensions with Iran over its nuclear program and ongoing unrest following a brutal crackdown on protesters. U.S. officials say the buildup is intended to deter escalation but have not confirmed any specific military orders.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump warned that time is running out for a diplomatic deal with Tehran and emphasized the readiness of U.S. forces in the region, including what he described as a “massive armada,” reminiscent of his ultimatum to Venezuela’s government.

Arab allies and other partners have urged restraint to avert a wider conflict, warning that any military action could destabilize the region and disrupt global energy markets.
Iranian military leaders have declared their forces at full readiness and warned the United States and its allies against initiating attacks.
While the source’s comments suggest plans have largely shifted toward military options, no U.S. official has publicly confirmed an attack order or launch date, and options under consideration could range from targeted strikes on nuclear sites or missile infrastructure to other strategic assets, potentially in coordination with Israeli forces or independently by U.S. forces.
A New York Times report detailed U.S. military options presented to Trump, including strikes on nuclear facilities — similar to those taken in June 2025 — and Special Forces raids on more deeply buried nuclear facilities to weaken the influence of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tensions have escalated amid Iran’s violent suppression of widespread protests and ongoing disputes over its nuclear program, while previous confrontations — including U.S. and allied strikes inside Iran in 2025 — have already heightened regional volatility.
U.S. partners have expressed mixed support, with some calling for diplomacy and others backing tougher measures against Iran. For its part, Tehran is warning of severe retaliation if attacked.

Sorry to say but diplomacy doesn’t work and never will with a terrorist dictatorship bent on spreading their ideology and domination of all that oppose them. A people that chant death to Israel AND DEATH TO AMERICA AND THE WESTERN CIVILIZATION’S RELIGION WON’T BE INFLUENCED OR BOUGHT OFF! The Iranian, Cuban, Venezuelan and other people under the thumbs of dictators and Communist leaders have suffered enough. Nobody wants war, destruction, but sometimes there is no alternative to free these people from their despair. Trump will bring these countries to their knees by diplomacy, economic and military measures and free the people to live in peace without fear of their dictators. In the end the money that is wasted on dictators will be used to build a civilization beneficial to all people!
