UN warns of ‘full-scale civil war’ in Sudan, Egypt to host summit. Diplomatic efforts to halt fighting between Sudan’s army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary have so far proved ineffective.

FIRST – STOP BEING WOKE – Recruiting the all-volunteer force requires a whole of nation approach. Last week the all-volunteer force celebrated its 50th anniversary, and the Department of Defense continued its “full court press,” calling upon the newest generation of Americans to serve in our military. CHINA THREAT
Russia’s war could reshape the global arms market in favor of China. The war in Ukraine has taken a heavy toll on Russia’s capacity to supply arms to the international market due to both sanctions and attrition on the battlefield.
Solomon Islands signs controversial policing pact with China. The two have signed a deal on police cooperation as part of an upgrade of their relations to a “comprehensive strategic partnership” four years after the Pacific country switched ties from Taiwan to Beijing.
RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR
Putin hosted Russian mercenary leader at the Kremlin after mutiny. Yevgeny Prigozhin met with Vladimir Putin just five days after the commander led a short-lived rebellion. (RELATED: US Spies Warned Biden About Russian Military Revolt And Possible Loss Of Nukes)
Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 503. Ukraine said its forces made a “definitive advance” on the southern flank of Bakhmut as the country continues its counteroffensive against Russian troops. But “on the northern flank of the battle there are no changes of positions.”
Ukraine tops NATO summit agenda along with Sweden’s membership. Russia’s war on Ukraine will top the agenda when Joe Biden and his NATO counterparts meet on Tuesday and Wednesday.
How many Russians have died in Ukraine? Data shows what Moscow hides. Nearly 50,000 Russian men have died in the war in Ukraine, according to the first independent statistical analysis of Russia’s war dead.
NORTH KOREA THREAT
North Korean leader’s powerful sister says warplanes repelled US spy plane. The sister of Kim Jong Un claims that its warplanes repelled a U.S. spy plane flying over nearby waters Monday and warned of “shocking” consequences if the U.S. continues reconnaissance in the area.
IRAN THREAT
Israel, US holding another joint air drill apparently focused on Iran. Exercises simulate strikes on ‘strategic targets in depth’ of enemy territory, include American tankers boosting range of IAF jets.
Indonesia seizes Iranian-flagged tanker suspected of illegal oil transfer. The Iranian-flagged supertanker is suspected of involvement in the illegal transshipment of crude oil. Indonesia’s Coast Guard vowed to toughen maritime patrols.

Russia-Ukraine war holds key lessons for US Space Command: top official. U.S. Space Command has learned several lessons from the Russia-Ukraine war, starting almost as soon as the war began, a top official said last week.

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
Airstrikes kill 10 al-Shabab militants in Somalia, AFRICOM says. Three airstrikes launched by American forces in Somalia over the weekend killed an estimated 10 al-Shabab militants, according to U.S. Africa Command.
Australia to deploy surveillance aircraft to assist Ukraine. Royal Australian Air Force surveillance aircraft are headed to Germany to help support Ukraine by protecting vital humanitarian and military supply lines.
In Guam, the US military presence is in full view. A photographer spent three weeks documenting life on the island, which is a strategic location for American military operations.
Russian, Chinese warships prepare for joint Pacific naval exercises. Two Russian warships are now in Shanghai ahead of an at-sea exercise with People’s Liberation Army Navy vessels in the Pacific, according to Chinese state media. (RELATED: China Operating Illegal Spy Hubs In Several US Cities)
Lebanese navy kicks off maritime Resolute Union drill, with US advisors and new participants. The drill won’t include US naval assets, but American trainers are on hand to advise the Lebanon-led exercise series.
US MILITARY
The Corps is without a confirmed commandant for the 1st time since 1910. Gen. Eric Smith and his wife won’t be moving their boxes into the “Home of the Commandants” quite yet.
The Navy is working on a transformational ‘Iron Man’ dive suit. The form-fitting, atmospheric dive suit is composed of rotating and flexible joints, and aims to improve diver safety, flexibility and range.
Air Force showcases how artificial intelligence will help military dominate airspace. We need to recognize that AI is here. It’s here to stay,’ one Air Force member says of artificial intelligence in the military.
