A Russian missile attack in the Black Sea port city of Odesa wounded at least four people and burned houses to the ground, according to Ukrainian authorities. There wasn’t a problem with recruiting until the liberals took control, by Democrat Presidents purge of conservatives in the military’s leadership, and the new liberal leadership forced “WOKE” liberal policies on all the members of the voluntary service members, denying their rights and banning their religious views.
This then allowed the forcing on the military members choices that they were against and is now proving to be dangerous to their health, such as the proven ineffective, dangerous, and deadly Covid vaccines, proven by the military’s own health records that they now refuse to make public because of all the harm the Covid vaccines have caused our military members.
Forced liberalism destroys the soul and the voluntary military force, and this was predicted but ignored, and now they will have to reintroduce the draft in an attempt to maintain a military to keep the USA and its citizens safe from a much more dangerous and aggressive world caused mainly by liberalism, which roots have always been socialism and communism.

I was drafted, Feb. 1966. Went to Ft Ord for basic training. I was chosen by the D. I. To be a squad leader. We had 2 overweight guys in the entire company. They had to eat at the fat table. Their portions were cut. When they fell behind on the rifle range runs, the squad leaders had to drop back and push, drag whatever it took. At the end of the 8 weeks they were close to holding their own.
I can’t imagine what it would look like today. Military. Com had an article claiming 75% of military age youth are unfit for service. Obesity, felony records, on and on

Way past time to bring back draft. All eligible persons qualify. Our military numbers are severely depleted. The draft teaches younger generation what it means to be American. Currently our educational system is doing a very poor job.

Update to Today vs WW2 era
This country should never have ended the draft, it was one of the biggest mistake we ever made. During WWII people were more concerned with the welfare of our country and were willing to join the military. I spent 26 years in the army, drafted to go to Korea in 1952, then a few years later we were tied up with Vietnam, which I did 2 tours. I have serious doubts about the willingness of the 18 to 25 year age group today that are the prime age for the draft.The left wing woke crowd have pretty well ruined this country, and sadly that’s been part of their mission for years now. I’m not sure this country can be saved from them anymore. It makes me so glad that I’m so old and hopefully I wont live to see the demise of the United States of America.
We don’t need a draft. We need to close all our bases and exit all military treaties especially NATO. Deploy what is left along the border. The world is not our problem nor can we afford it in case you haven’t noticed.

I was drafted in 1965, I was classified (4F). For those of you who do not know what that status means: Physically unfit for military service. I required surgery for a birth defect. I had that surgery and voluntarily joined the US Army in1966. It was the best decision I ever made. After high school graduation I tried college, I was not ready. I tried working, I was undisciplined (I came from a very dysfunctional family) so I went from job to job. I lost the job I had wanted all along after an irresponsible roommate of mine totaled my only transportation (long story). Without a car I could not get to my job-sites to tie-steel so job gone. No car, no income, no prospects I used one of my last dimes to call the US Army Recruiting Station (48) hours later I was on my way to Fort Ord, CA for Basic Training.
As written by another I was also chosen to be a “Squad Leader” by a Basic Training Drill Instructor (D. I.). How he noticed me is a mystery as I was at the back of the barracks against a wall behind a bed rack (on purpose). That appointment by the D. I. changed my life and provided me with a chance to develop into a man from a frightened boy. I learned what America stood for, that freedom was not “:free” and what actual responsibility was. I served from 1966-1978 and I would not change that time served for anything else in this world. Brotherhood is real for all veterans.
The “Draft” needs to be re-instated for very urgent and most important reasons, to educate and inform our youth as to what it really means to be an “AMERICAN” and not the WOKE facsimile they are living in! Not only the Draft must be reinstated but the curriculum in our schools must be reinstated to reflect what education is really about.
Maybe young people do not want to join a woke military and be forced to take the “shot”?

The Draft should have never gone away as it teaches young people how to get along with others and be disciplined.
I’m certain liberals and progressives would insist on a lot of exemptions and deferments from the draft. During Vietnam, tens of thousands of elites got college deferments. In 1965, rather than cutting back on college deferments, Sec Def McNamara started drafting 100K people who scored in the two lower categories (CAT 3 and CAT 4) on the AFQT. It was known as “McNamara’s Hundred Thousand.”
Of course, McNamara didn’t mention that in his supposedly “tell all” book.
Gerald Ford was a rabid hawk. pushing the VN war. Once south VN surrendered, Ford’s only son gave an interview where he stated it was time to “get on with his life.” Yep. those 8 years of college deferments really held him back, ya know?
