Trump Delays Planned Iran Strike As Negotiations Continue

President Donald Trump announced Monday that he will temporarily hold off on a planned military strike against Iran after leaders from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates urged him to give ongoing negotiations additional time.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the attack had been scheduled for Tuesday but was paused after key Middle Eastern allies informed him that “serious negotiations are now taking place” and that they believed a diplomatic agreement could still be reached.

According to Trump, the request came directly from Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Trump said the Gulf leaders believed a potential deal could satisfy both the United States and countries throughout the region.

“They have asked me to hold off because serious negotiations are now taking place, and that, in their opinion, as Great Leaders and Allies, a Deal will be made, which will be very acceptable to the United States of America, as well as all Countries in the Middle East, and beyond,” Trump wrote.

The president emphasized that any agreement would require Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions entirely.

“This Deal will include, importantly, NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN!” Trump said.

Trump added that he instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and military leadership to suspend the planned operation for now while diplomacy continues.

At the same time, he warned that the United States remains prepared to launch military action against Iran at any moment if negotiations fail.

“…[I] have further instructed them to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable Deal is not reached,” Trump wrote.

The announcement comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran over Iran’s nuclear program and broader instability throughout the Middle East.

Trump has repeatedly maintained that Iran will never be permitted to obtain nuclear weapons capability and has consistently paired diplomatic pressure with the threat of overwhelming military force.

The involvement of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE reflects growing concern among Gulf states of destabilization in the region, threatening global energy markets and triggering retaliation from Iranian-backed proxy groups operating throughout the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have historically aligned closely with the United States against Iran, though both countries have also pursued cautious diplomatic outreach to Tehran in recent years.

Trump did not provide details about the nature of the ongoing negotiations or what terms might be included in a possible agreement.

However, his statement suggested the administration is attempting to maintain maximum pressure on Iran while leaving open a narrow diplomatic path to avoid direct military confrontation.

Barring the Lord Jesus’ return, if the current islamic regime is not 100% completely removed, the United States will have to, at some time in the not too distant future, have to start over from square one. Otherwise we will be dealing with a very violent and aggressive nuclear power which will not be very reluctant to use those nukes.
