A controversy involving a University of Washington (UW) employee has gained national attention after Accuracy in Media (AIM) displayed a social media post attributed to her on a mobile billboard on campus. The university says it is investigating the matter.
Mara Maughan, who is listed as research and lab staff at UW, posted a comment on Facebook stating, “may there be tyler robinsons for all of you.” The statement references Tyler Robinson, the Utah man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk last year.
The comment was directed at Corey DeAngelis, executive director of the Educational Freedom Institute and Accuracy in Media Fellow, who first highlighted the post publicly.
Maughan posted her comment in response to DeAngelis sharing a video of a Democratic Washington state senator, captioned, “He can’t acknowledge that there are biological differences between men and women.” Within a week of Maughan’s comment surfacing, AIM brought a mobile billboard to the UW campus displaying Maughan’s comment. Adam Guillette, president of AIM, was present on UW campus and interacted with students, asking them whether the post was appropriate for a university employee and getting their opinions on whether Maughan should be fired.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Guillette criticized the university’s handling of the situation, noting that UW is already under federal investigation.
Previously, protesters at the University of Washington took over a building and caused over $1 million in damage. They also sold shirts with images glorifying the October 7 terrorist attack.
