The Venezuelan government’s recent condemnation of President Donald Trump’s use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport members of the Tren de Aragua terrorist organization is a glaring example of the Maduro regime’s hypocrisy and its utter disregard for the realities surrounding its own failed policies. In its statement, the regime compared the U.S. actions to “slavery” and “Nazi concentration camps,” denouncing the deportations as a “crime against humanity” and an attack on its citizens. However, this reaction reveals more about the Venezuelan government’s manipulation of the narrative than any real concern for the welfare of its people.
Breitbart News reports:
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry levied the protest in a lengthy statement published on Sunday evening shortly after the United States deported 238 Venezuelans suspected of being members of the Tren de Aragua terrorist organization to El Salvador as per the terms of an agreement with President Nayib Bukele.
The Maduro regime, which caused what is largely described as the worst migrant crisis in the Western Hemisphere — a direct consequence of the collapse of Venezuela’s socialist economy — asserted in its statement that the Venezuelan migrants in question left their country for “economic reasons that were a consequence of the hardships created for our people by the criminal blockade of our economy, imposed by Western governments against the entire Venezuelan society in order to perpetrate their plans for regime change in Venezuela.”
The statement continued, “Venezuela rejects the persecution against our nationals, the expropriation of their personal property, assets, businesses, vehicles, bank accounts,” the statement claimed. “Likewise, we strongly denounce that our compatriots in the United States are being subjected to persecution in their workplaces, schools, churches, hospitals, and public spaces.”
“With deep indignation we repudiate the threat of kidnapping of minors under 14 years of age; never before in history has an official document gone to the extreme of attempting to summarily classify children as members of terrorist groups, who are considered criminals for the mere fact of being Venezuelan.”
Venezuela’s economic collapse, largely driven by socialist policies, rampant corruption, and disastrous governance, triggered mass migration long before the sanctions came into play. Millions of Venezuelans fled their country in search of basic necessities—food, medicine, safety—under the pressure of an imploding economy and a government that was increasingly focused on its own survival rather than the well-being of its citizens.
Instead of acknowledging its role in creating this catastrophe, the Maduro regime deflects blame onto external forces. It frames the exodus of Venezuelans as solely a consequence of Western-imposed “blockades” designed to undermine the government. This narrative is designed to obfuscate the regime’s own catastrophic failures. The fact remains that the Venezuelan government’s policies—particularly its nationalization of industries, repression of opposition, and economic mismanagement—have left the country in ruins, driving millions to flee.
Moreover, the Venezuelan government’s protest over the deportation of suspected members of the Tren de Aragua is equally telling. The Tren de Aragua is a notorious transnational criminal organization responsible for a wide range of violent crimes, including human trafficking, drug smuggling, and violent extortion. While the regime complains about the deportation of these criminals, it fails to address the fact that many of these individuals left Venezuela in the first place due to the lawlessness and instability fostered by the Maduro government itself.
The fact that the regime portrays migrants as innocent victims, while ignoring the significant role played by criminal organizations, demonstrates a profound lack of self-awareness and a refusal to confront the consequences of its policies. In this sense, the Venezuelan government’s portrayal of its citizens as innocent victims of Western oppression is a rhetorical strategy designed to divert attention from its own complicity in the migrant crisis.

Guess he should not have refused to take them back. He would have jailed them also. Where do you think they were before being sent north to the United States?
Screw that idiot Chavez. Those gang members are criminals. Should have been lined up and executed. And all the fricken do-gooders in this country, standing up for those illegals and criminals.
Not a Trump fan, but I do like how he is handling the illegals’ issue. Run ’em out. The ACLU is involved. Why? They aren’t legal, so have no rights.
That’s corrupt Venezuela for you, We won’t listen to you and will protect our own USA.
Maduro under the Venezuelan Constitution is an illegal ruler of the country – he is a Columbian. A bus driver with a third grade education who hasn’t won a single election even with the fake Columbian votes from the ranchetos.
Keep your scumbags home AH
Considering who YOU are, I wouldn’t be casting stones
Venezuela is one big concentration camp.
Venzuela’s comments about their criminals being incarcerated make me chuckle. But they did not want them back because that is why Trump locked them up in another south american country. To that Venzuela Foreign minister, I would suggest he step up and take his gang members back or just shut up. We don’t want them and senile Joe must not have known the gangs would be assisted by their own countries to come to the US and set up their businesses in our states and cities.
To Venzuela, you can have them back. Just speak up and as the rest are rounded up we will send them back via air travel. If you do not want them back then just say so otherwise now we all think you will take them back. And blaming other countries for your failing economy is another laugh. I also know that gangs are a result of hard times and they bring their ugly business dealings with them. We don’t need your problems and it is a fact they will not come back here like they entered when you sent them here under old senile Joe’s reign.
Apparently you expect everyone to believe your lying mouthpiece actions. Venzuela can be great again. Just kick your dictator out of the country.
Cierra la boca estúpido!
