Chaos briefly erupted Thursday afternoon when United States Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) tried to disrupt a press conference by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles — prompting law enforcement to forcibly remove him from the scene.
As The Hill reports:
Video of the incident shared by a Fox News reporter shows multiple men restraining Padilla and working to remove him from the room.
“I’m Sen. Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary,” Padilla is heard saying as multiple people push him out of the room.
As he is thrown out through two double doors, he can be heard saying, “Hands off!”
Padilla’s office did not immediately respond to request for comment but Noem said she would plan to speak with the senator.

Following the conclusion of Fox News reporter Bill Melugin’s recording, his team observed FBI agents detain Padilla after taking him to the ground. Reports suggest he later met privately with Noem.
I’m told Noem is in a room meeting with Senator Padilla right now. After I stopped recording, my team witnessed him being taken to the ground by FBI personnel and he was temporarily detained. Awaiting further details on what happened out of our view.

Padilla has been vocally critical of the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement actions and the deployment of federal troops in Los Angeles, describing these measures as “a completely inappropriate and misguided mission.”

What Dems always do
Might have made more sense to ask for a meeting as opposed to bulling his way into the room and advancing towards the secretary when told to stop by federal law enforcement. The agents did not know who he was or what his agenda might be. Extremely rude, but that is to be expected I guess. Kind of looks like the same type situation as what went on in NJ?
They are going to have to learn that there ARE LAWS for every facet of the government and Immigration is no exception. since the fifties, Mexicans have been crossing the bridge and/or the river in some areas, and just settling down in he Untied States and enrolling their ids in school..
Remember Obama’s “Dreamers?” That was such a case. Their parents just walked in with kids in tow, settled down and enrolled the kids in school. Remember that Obama wanted Amnesty for the entire group of “Dreamers.”
I know because I was raised in Texas and every day we had new kids in school who had just walked across the river in that rural area and settled in. There was an ENTIRE town where there were probably more than half of the population consisted of such families. We kids did not know the difference; they were just new students who did not speak English. .
Immigration Laws became null and void. – later on, other nations of different ethnicities started doing the same, especially after WWII, usually overstaying a Visa
I am sure that California suffered the same fate. . I believe Alex Padilla’s parents were among those who just walked in and settled in the USA whiteout the benefit citizenship. I may be wrong , but it appears to me that those who share the sentiments of Alex Padilla is du to that fact.
Of course many deluded entities still “believe” that the USA arbitrarily usurped California and made it a state. California was purchased from Mexico; When I was taking US History in Junior College, our teacher or professor stated that the American and the Mexican officials closing the deal got drunk on Tequila and as a consequence Baha California was omitted from he package.
