United States Capitol Police escorted gun control activist David Hogg out of a House Judiciary Committee hearing today on H.R. 1808, better known as the Assault Weapons Ban.
Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, interrupted the hearing by blaming Republicans for perpetuating the violence. He implied the GOP had inspired racist shooters with “anti-immigrant” talking points while being led outside.

During Wednesday’s hearing, tempers ran high. Apart from Hogg’s disruption, lawmakers accused each other of political maneuvering and being insensitive to gun violence.
“We all respect the Second Amendment, but it’s not without limits,” said Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I. “Imagine how much we could get accomplished if we clung to the desire to protect our children and communities as tightly as some of my colleagues cling to their rifles.”
The hearings came less than a month has passed since President Biden signed the nation’s first new gun control law in nearly 30 years. That bill, which passed with GOP support, expands background checks and incentivizes states to adopt “red flag” laws, which are used to confiscate guns from those deemed dangerous.
Republican supporters of that bill said that Congress learns from its success and should look for other avenues of bipartisan cooperation, rather than pushing pet issues that have no hope of becoming law.

Just think how much the Congress could accomplish if those s it eating democrats would honor the Constitution and Bill of Rights instead of trying to make this a communist country. We are going to need every one of our guns to kick them out of Washington one of these days. For good.
When that fool from R. I. said the second amendment is not without limits, he was wrong as is normal with the left wingers. Unless going through the long process of amending our constitution, there is no limit on what it says.
According to the Constitution every firearm law is illegal, null and void. We can legally own any firearm we want, the country has been brainwashed by the government for the last 150 years with lies, we’re just finally waking up to the fact.

Your article is not factually correct: Hogg was not a survivor of the school shooting, he was not on school property at the time of the shooting. Please correct.
