Igor Danchenko, the primary source behind the unfounded and discredited infamous Steele Dossier has been acquitted by a jury on all four counts of lying to the FBI.
The development is an embarrassing defeat to Special Counsel John Durham’s three-year investigation into potential misconduct in the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe.
The New York Times reports:
Mr. Trump and his supporters have long insisted the inquiry would prove a “deep state” conspiracy against him, but after pursuing various baseless theories, Mr. Durham never found and charged one. Instead he developed two narrow cases accusing people involved in outside efforts to scrutinize purported links between Mr. Trump and Russia of making false statements.
The first of those cases ended in an acquittal of the defendant, Michael Sussmann, a cybersecurity lawyer with Democratic connections. The trial against Mr. Danchenko is expected to be the last of Mr. Durham’s prosecutions, and the special counsel is expected to submit a final report to the Justice Department this year summarizing his findings.
The jury deliberated for more than a day before finding Mr. Danchenko not guilty.
The accusations against Mr. Danchenko, an analyst who was born in Russia, centered on two of his sources for the salacious claims and unsubstantiated assertions in the so-called Steele dossier, which said that Mr. Trump and his 2016 campaign were colluding with the Russian government. After BuzzFeed published the dossier in 2017, public suspicions of Mr. Trump escalated, but it has since been discredited.
A prosecutor for Durham’s office argued in his closing argument that Danchenko had clearly lied to investigators. In the end, it was to no avail.

The American justice system has been corrupted. The government can get any verdict they want even regardless of clear evidence, or no evidence at all.
Surprise, surprise. The city where Trump got 4% of the vote, and the rule of law has fallen in the street, acquits someone who was hired by the government to lie.

What can one expect with the crooked corrupt trash running our government? They’re absolutely terrified of Donald Trump. When he was in office we had a little freedom. Not as much as in the past but we could do things. Also, among other things we had a secure border, good national defense, people working, welfare rolls down, Economy was good, and people were more content. Even with everything the crooked left was pulling on Trump I feel he did a fantastic job. Now, what do we have with Biden? Open border with terrorists and God only knows what else flooding into our country, record inflation, welfare going up, jobs going down, our national security is non existent, national defense is in terrible condition, our Stregic Oil Reserve is being depleted so the military won’t be able to operate during a national emergency and we’re having electric cars forced on us instead of letting auto makers and make better vehicles by competing. These are only a few of the “great” things Biden is doing TO our country and not FOR it. I could go on and on about the crooked corrupt things that were done by those crooks that now found that Russian spy not guilty.

From what I know of law and I have been in law since I wad 26 years of age and I am now 79, all is not kosher here! Durham must be in the lowest percentile of any law School to have let this get away from him! The question is and always has been the FBI published an unsubstantiated dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton to discredit President Trump! The FBI was well aware of the lies that were told! What a waste of time, effort and money. And Durham should be ashamed of himself to have let this one get away from him!
