Born Feb. 25, 1980 in Garden City, New York, Patel began his legal career as a public defender in Florida, representing clients in cases ranging from international drug trafficking to murder. He later served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division, acting as a legal liaison to the Joint Special Operations Command.
In 2017, Patel joined the House Intelligence Committee as senior counsel for counterterrorism under then-Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.). He played a significant role in challenging the FBI’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Patel was reportedly a primary author of the Nunes memo, which alleged FBI misconduct in surveillance activities.

Unsurprisingly, Patel’s nomination has ruffled feathers within the establishment. Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, now a CNN commentator, criticized the move as “dangerous” for the FBI’s rank-and-file, dismissing Patel as “profoundly unqualified.” For supporters of Trump and Patel, however, such critiques underscore the need for leadership willing to challenge entrenched bureaucratic norms.

Mr. Patel is uniquely qualified to head up the FBI. Comey and Wray in succession have soiled the reputation of this important federal agency in so many ways. It will take a strong personality to pursue truth. Mr. Patel is an excellent choice to handle that task. My comments come from my 45 years of practicing law including service as an assistant attorney general representing a state’s correctional agencies as well as private practice with a national law firm and service as general counsel of both public as well as private companies. The Left will exhaust, and I hope destroy, itself trying fight this nomination.
My thoughts are simply “Have at it Kash!” Years ago, I thought of the FBI as a venerable US institution. My 6th grade teacher in 1960 was clairvoyant because he referred to it as the “Fat Boys Institute.” Totally corrupt and self-serving and needs to be cleaned out.
HE SOUNDS LIKE THE PERFECT CHOISE! THE FBI IS NOW SO BAD THAT I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE DISBANDED ENTIRELY. PERHAPS HE CAN BRING BACK ITS FORMER RESPECT AND OBJECTIVITY.
Probably the best that Pres. Trump has done so far. Kash knows where the bodies are buried and is not afraid to dig them up. He will do the job of cleaning up the FBI and make it respectable again. May God Bless him and the work he has taken on.
Panic is setting in, Andrew McCabe is in total panic mode. As are all the other corrupt agents.
Time to clean house.
