Critical Voter Bloc Backs Battleground State Republicans in Record Numbers

-

Republican turnout numbers in , are already at historic highs — driven by one key demographic.

Florida Gov. has gained national recognition over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the efforts that he has taken to stem the radical liberal influence in his state's system and even the handling of more recent immigration and natural disaster crises.

His decisive actions have also helped him gain a record amount of support among Hispanic voters, including Puerto Ricans and South American immigrants, who historically support Democrats in significantly larger numbers than Cuban Americans.

The groundswell of support for DeSantis and other Republicans from within this fast-growing voter bloc has Florida Democrats fearing that a red wave will flip congressional seats in the Orlando and Miami metro areas that were considered out of the GOP's reach as recently as one month ago.

The Daily Beast reports:

His success isn't just among predominantly GOP-leaning Cuban-Americans, either. The governor's ability to make inroads with other Latino demographics in the Sunshine State, including the growing Colombian-American vote, could bode well for any 2024 presidential ambitions of his if he's able to deliver on Election Day.

How DeSantis got to this point is all the more remarkable considering he lost among Latino voters by 14 points to Democratic challenger Andrew Gillum in 2018.

Recent polling also shows DeSantis performing better than Republican Sen. Marco Rubio among Latinos in the Sunshine State, both in the latest Telemundo poll and another conducted by Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio for Americano . The Telemundo poll also found 50 percent of Latino respondents were in favor of the governor's decision to send Venezuelan migrants to Martha's Vineyard, with 43 percent opposed.

It's not only the product of long-term investments from the GOP in both Spanish-language media and resource centers for newly registered citizens, but also the result of “a thousand cuts” for the Democrats that accelerated over just a few election cycles, as veteran Florida pollster Brad Coker described it.

In 2020, The Republican National Committee (RNC) stepped up its investment in minority outreach efforts to boost the Trump campaign's coalition efforts, and those advances have been built upon in the midterm elections this year.

Now, it appears they will pay dividends for Republicans in both short and long-term electoral successes for the party.

Florida Republicans are leading in early voting, not only statewide but also in Miami-Dade County.

Over two-thirds of Miami-Dade's 2.7 million residents, 71.57%, identify as Hispanic or Latino, per data from Miami-Dade Matters.

  1. Unless you’re one of the democrat politicians or their corporate flunkies in their fascist business model, you’re not going to do that well in the democrat Marxist utopia they are putting together. It is in Hispanics and really all Americans best interests to give this bunch of jaded, cynical, Marxist, deadbeats, and their loser national news, business, political, comrades, the boot.
