Tensions continue to rise…
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) renewed her call to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Sunday, accusing the agency of operating as a “racist” and “rogue” organization, remarks that drew swift condemnation from the White House as federal officials defended ICE agents amid rising assaults against officers.
“The actions of ICE — they are unconstitutional, unlawful, they are cruel,” Pressley said during an appearance on MS NOW. “They are rogue, they are racist, and they are terrorizing communities.”
Pressley’s comments followed the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis during a confrontation with ICE agents. Federal authorities said Good attempted to run over an officer, prompting the agent to open fire. While the Trump administration has stood by the officer’s actions, several Democratic lawmakers and activists have claimed the killing was unjustified. Calling the incident “horrific and unacceptable,” Pressley argued that ICE poses a threat beyond immigration enforcement.
“This harm does not discriminate. It is coming for everyone,” she said. “They are not operating with any constitutional due diligence. They are lawless. They are masked thugs.”
Pressed by host Jackie Alemany on whether her long-standing push to abolish ICE and the Biden administration’s border policies had contributed to the current enforcement environment, Pressley rejected the premise and said the agency could not be reformed.
“This has nothing to do with training or new protocols,” Pressley said. “This is about cultural practices that have been underway for many years. Congress has the power of the purse, and we need to use it in this moment.”

She also accused President Donald Trump of governing as a dictator and called for public hearings, defunding ICE, and an independent investigation into Good’s death.
The White House forcefully pushed back.
“ICE officers are facing a massive increase in assaults against them because of dangerous, untrue smears from elected Democrats,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “ICE officers act heroically to enforce the law and protect American communities with the utmost professionalism.”
Jackson added that “anyone pointing the finger at law enforcement officers instead of the criminals are simply doing the bidding of criminal illegal aliens.”
The controversy comes as tensions escalated in Minnesota over congressional access to ICE facilities. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said she and Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) were ordered to leave ICE’s Whipple Building in Minneapolis on Saturday while attempting what they described as a congressional oversight visit.
“We were initially invited in to do our congressional oversight and to exercise our Article I duties,” Omar told reporters. “Shortly after we were let in, two officials came in and said they received a message that we were no longer allowed to be in the building.”
The Trump administration imposed a new rule Saturday requiring lawmakers to provide at least one week’s notice before entering ICE facilities. The policy follows a previous attempt that was struck down by a federal judge, who ruled that federal spending laws require unrestricted congressional access to facilities receiving federal funds.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said the lawmakers were removed for safety and compliance reasons, disputing Omar’s account.
“The members of Congress entered the facility with the explicit goal of ‘hunting down’ ICE officers,” McLaughlin said, adding that the visit violated court orders and agency policy requiring advance notice.
The clash reflects a broader pattern of confrontations between Democratic lawmakers and immigration enforcement officials. Last year, several Democratic officials and activists were arrested or briefly detained during protests and confrontations at ICE facilities, incidents that Republicans have cited as evidence of growing hostility toward federal law enforcement.

Anyone who believes any thing the Dems say are as crooked as they are.
This is exactly what we expect from “The Squad” of Democrat Communists. They hate getting caught in every possible scam against the American Taxpayer and will do anything they can think of to keep the money laundry open. This is getting so tiresome.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley is the enemy within!
The only government agency that lefties don’t like.
