Conservative Fox News Host Escalates War Against GOP Congressman

-

does not qualify as a RINO, which makes his war of words with a small cadre of conservative congressmen surprising.

At first glance, anyway.

Levin, a kingpin of conservative talk radio and host, has gotten increasingly frustrated with a group of House hardliners who are threatening to derail 's speakership bid.

The feud escalated this week when Rep. Andy Briggs, one of the GOP lawmakers subjected to Levin's tirades, fired back.

And fired back hard.

The Daily Beast reports:

“Levin is the biggest fraud in right now. For years, this guy castigated McCarthy publicly (with no shame). Now, he is all in for him and wants his audience to turn a blind eye,” Biggs declared on Twitter. “Total fraud.”

The Arizona congressman's tweet was paired with a photoshopped image of Levin holding a pair of flip flops while standing on a fictional Flip-Flop Island. “Total Fraud & Flip-Flopper,” the graphic labeled the Fox host. The image also included several old quotes showing how Levin had previously ripped McCarthy as being a “RINO dimwit” and “BOUGHT AND PAID FOR”—fighting words in Trumpworld.

On his Tuesday evening radio show, Levin responded to Biggs' tweet by calling him “a phony, a fake, and a fraud.” (While Levin bills himself as ideologically consistent over the years, he most notably was a “Never Trumper” before becoming the ex-president's informal picture book hype man. Likewise, his views on McCarthy appear to have evolved over time.)

Speaking to his audience, Levin acknowledged that McCarthy didn't inspire him but what Biggs and company were offering was nothing besides playing “right into the hands of the .”

“We're losing our country. It's unraveling, and Andy Biggs is not the answer, and he doesn't have any answers. He's a moron. He's an imbecile,” the radio host concluded. “He's a bleeding hemorrhoid on the body politic!”

Biggs and Reps. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., , R-Va., , R-S.C. and , R-Mont., announced their intention to oppose McCarthy's speakership bid shortly after the extent of the GOP's underperformance in the midterms became apparent.

McCarthy has since won the Republican nomination to be the next speaker. Still, he faces a full House vote in January — and could have trouble if more than three Republicans oppose him.

  1. Hey, Republicans: Have your arguments behind closed doors! And after all the arguments are done, and a majority makes a decision, unite behind that decision, even if you don’t like it.

To do otherwise, benefits the Democrats

    • You are right, Sir! Common sense! The DemoCreeps know how to hold together to form a uniform front, a unified spearhead. But the Republicans are like herding cats. Problem is, it is now the honest Republicans against the RepubliCreeps.

    • I am a conservative voter and I do believe that a constitutional convention might be hijacked by the extreme liberals, just as I believe that they have hijacked the recent elections. We must be very careful before we leap into anything.

    • He opposed Convention of States . . . .” That is enough reason to support him. What makes anyone think a convention of the states would provide a desirable outcome when the Democrats are so much better at this stuff than Republicans? What is it supposed to change anyway? Fez is right.

  2. McCarthy should learn from Pelosie how to whip them inline. The republican party is too fragmented. United we stand devided we fall!

    • Paul – there are few (if any) republicans who will stoop down to her level of fear, threats and intimation that she routinely uses. They are simply too ‘principled’ to resort to those tactics. Sort of like using boxing rules to try to win a street brawl.

  3. I’m really disappointed that Biggs called Mark Levin a fraud. Mark is not a fraud. Once again, we aren’t showing a united front. We can’t fix this country if we don’t unite.

    • Put the duels on pay TV and apply the proceeds against the budget deficit. Everyone wins except for the loser of the duel.

  4. Let’s make President Trump – Speaker of the House until 2024. If he does a Great Job as we expect him too, lets give him another 4 years as President of the USA. If he flops, we can nominate and elect Ron DeSantis and leave SCOTS as the Speaker of the House.
AS Republican’s, we could be very strong!

    • I have heard this before and it sounds just as dumb now. Can you imagine Trump trying to do the kind of back and forth it would take to be Speaker? Talk about herding cats! He hasn’t the patience or talent for it. That would fragment the GOP until it would become the Whigs.

  5. UNITE???? You mean agree with Thom Tillis and amnesty, Cocaine Mitch and pass Democrat funding bill, every liberal Democrat that passes gas and Smittnes Romney tries to agree with??? Compromise is why this Nation is in the toilet. Compromise has God thrown out of everything and the doors are open to any and all perversity that some slime ball dreams up. WHY, because we had spineless people compromise.

  6. The House Majority is about all we have to fight the Communist Globalization of our country by the conniving, power-mad Demmunists–and we CANNOT AFFORD to have another do-nothing appeaser like Paul Ryan in the leadership chair! Kevin McCarthy has shown a lamentable tendency to be JUST THAT–always trying to “work with” the conniving Dems, which translates to aiding and abetting them in getting whatever radical wish list item they want to cram down our unwilling throats!

    • Maybe, but it is too late. Better get together or face Democrat/Progressive/Fascist control for as long as we live.

  7. McCarthy is one of the 3 Macs who have led the Republican party for the last 4 yrs: Ronna McDaniel, head of the RNC; McCarthy, Paul Ryan’s groomed sucessor; & McConnell.

Despite Paul Ryan & McConnell, we won the WH & both Houses in 2016. In 2028 mid-terms, we lost the House & reduced our Senate majority. In 2020, we lost both the WH & Senate majority. We chipped away at Democrat’s lead in the House. In the 2022 mid-term, the promised RED wave was non-existent at the federal level. We barely gained a majority in the House & lost another Senate seat.

We learned that both McCarthy & McConnell took funding away from new candidates who are America First &, supported more RINOs &/or supported Democrat candidates. Both have condemned Jan. 6, blamed Pres. Trump, refused to even investigate or comment on the living conditions or lack of due process for many Americans who are imprisoned because they were near the Capital Bldg. on Jan. 6. They don’t care that 2 women were killed at the hands of the Capital Police that day.

Now McCarthy says if you don’t elect him to SOTH, he will not stop Democrats from getting Rep. Jeffries the job. McCarthy is the divider-in-chief, not Biggs, Gaetz or the rest.

So once again, we have to suck it up, hold our noses & “support” McCarthy’s leadership, knowing full well he is famous for saying one thing & folding to Democrats the next; he’s Paul Ryan’s pick to succeed him; he does whatever Ryan/ McConnell/ Schumer/ Pelosi tell him to do.

He’s saying he will take Schiff, Omar, Swalwell off their committees. Really? After the full House, not just the Representative’s party, for the first time voted MTG off her committee assignments. He gets MTG support now by promising to put her on a couple of committees in the new session after not standing with her when Pelosi took her off.

So our choice is Kevin McCarthy or Jeffries. Much as I love the idea of Pres. Trump as Speaker, ir ain’t going to happen with the 3 Macs at the helm. I certainly don’t want someone who’s further left than Pelosi at the helm. Hold your nose. Because even if Biggs or another Republican got the SOTH job, McCarthy & his RINOs would spend all their time not supporting the SOTH. IMHAO.

  8. Mark Levin is a Big Guy and a Smart Guy. Attack him with impunity? I don’t think so. I am reminded of the motto of Clan MacPherson: ‘Touch not the cat but a glove.’

  9. All the public bickering is just whar democrats want so the can continue to divide the House to the point of no alternative but to have them put in the next puppet house speaker. Think smart but be smarter than democrats which can easily be done – unite.

  10. “A pack of jackasses lead by a lion is superior to a pack of lions lead by a jackass.” -George Washington, repeated by Ronald Reagan

Kevin McCarthy was mediocre and unimpressive in the California Assembly. The only thing different now is that he has gobs more power and spends a great deal more time away from his home state. If he is friendly with Boehner, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnel do we really need to know anything more? He is the consummate career politician who has got his eyes on politics and enhancing his career rather than working to further the principles upon which this republic was founded. “Getting business done” is just another way of saying spineless appeaser.
