Disney Goes Woke With New Music For ‘The Little Mermaid’

-

It should come as no surprise that woke Disney is making some changes in the upcoming live-action remake of “.”

The remake of the classic 1989 animated movie has already experienced its fair share of controversy, but now those who were once excited to hear new renditions of songs like “Kiss the Girl” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls” should consider staying home. The original composer, Alan Menken, said in an interview the musical tracks would have some noticeable changes in the 2023 version.

Menken told Vanity Fair that the song sung by Sebastian the crab, titled “Kiss the Girl,” has been changed so that the audience knows Prince Eric would never “force himself on Ariel.”

“There are some lyric changes in ‘Kiss the Girl' because people have gotten very sensitive about the idea that [Prince Eric] would, in any way, force himself on [Ariel],” the composer said.

In the original song, the lyrics are: “Yes, you want her. Look at her, you know you do. Possible she wants you, too. There is one way to ask her. It don't take a word. Not a single word. Go on and kiss the girl.”

Another famous song from the classic animated movie has the evil sea witch Ursula singing: “The men up there don't like a lot of blabber. They think a girl who gossips is a bore! Yet on land it's much preferred for ladies not to say a word. And after all dear, what is idle babble for?”

Menken told the outlet, “We have some revisions in ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls' regarding lines that might make young girls somehow feel that they shouldn't speak out of turn, even though Ursula is clearly manipulating Ariel to give up her voice.”

“The Little Mermaid” premieres in theaters on May 26.

  1. I am so tired of the fools who make children’s shows ruining them by ‘remaking’ them to the Woke Crowd, who are foolish at best and ridiculous at worst. I wish the makers of these shows would grow up and grow backbones.

  2. Don’t care about Disney. Haven’t care for years. They out price the middle class so they can’t go. They twist words for transgender people. so their little feelings aren’t hurt. They groom children for sick people and they don’t care. They forgot what America is all about. Disney will fall fast . The unamerican unmoral people will suffer for their unclass unamerican deeds. Evil will not win.

  3. With Disney’s sky high ticket prices they have just about priced themselves out of the average American family’s reach. Their all in on this new phony woke and LGBTQ+ business, so the normal family’s should stay away and let Disney fall on it’s face when they find out the strange one’s can’t support their staying open. I don’t wish them harm but I wouldn’t care if they had to close their gates and never reopen them. Maybe that would give some of these other businesses a wake up call that this phony woke stuff is bad for business.
