Former Fox News Producer Goes Off After Network Fires Remaining Tucker Carlson Staff

-

A former producer for Fox News‘ primetime program Tonight is shedding some light on the “callous” nature of the network.

Hours after announced a new primetime lineup with Jesse Watters officially taking over the role left by Carlson a former producer shared on Twitter that the network coldly fired the remaining staff from the old program. (RELATED: Fox News Reveals Powerhouse Primetime Lineup)

Former producer slammed Executive Vice President of Primetime Programming Meade Cooper in a series of tweets after Mediaite reported on Monday evening that the eight remaining staffers from Tucker Carlson Tonight would be let go, but were given the option to stay on staff through July 14 for “enhanced severance.”

“Meade Cooper did not simply fire all of Tucker's old team,” began Re. ‘It's important to capture the callousness. First, she let the employees hear about the news of their show's cancellation from a Fox press release. Then, Meade told the employees to hunt around the Fox website to see if they could maybe find another gig.”

“Tune into “Fox News tonight” for its last two weeks on air. Enjoy watching the work product of nine producers, whom Meade cooper is forcing to work before she fires them. (Under threat of losing their severance). I'm sure it'll be great content,” Re continued.

Earlier this year Fox News unceremoniously cut ties with popular host Tucker Carlson shortly after agreeing to a nearly $800 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

Since leaving the network Carlson has launched a similar program on Twitter Spaces.
