‘Fox & Friends’ Gets Tense As Hosts Duke It Out Over Biden’s Arrangements

-

The curvy couch at headquarters was yet again a scene of political squabbling this morning.

Things got a little uncomfortable Friday morning between two of the three co-hosts when dismissed 's criticism of President Biden's decision not to hold a joint press conference with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar with the global banking system on edge.

Kimeade appeared visibly frustrated after watching a clip of Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre answering questions about Biden's arrangements, as the Daily Beast reports:

“Obviously she has no message, she plays defense and just deflects every single question she gets,” Kilmeade said of Jean-Pierre. “Think about what's happened over the last 48 hours. We had a banking crisis. [Biden] gives a three-minute speech and literally turns away from all these questions.”

Kilmeade went on to say, “Then we get a drone, a Predator drone, shot out of the sky by the Russians,” referring to the incident involving a MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Black Sea on Tuesday. Steve Doocy could be heard interrupting his colleague to say the drone was actually “clipped” by Russian jets—which is what the Pentagon says brought the drone down—but Kilmeade rolled on anyway, calling the incident “one of the most substantial clashes between two powers that we've seen over the last 50 years.”

Kilmeade proceeded to drag Biden for expending his political capital by pushing gun control during a period of economic uncertainty and with Europe embroiled in the biggest conflict the continent has seen since 1945.

Doocy pushed back, saying Biden could do what he wanted as president. That led to a stern rebuke from Kilmeade, who slammed Biden's actions as unacceptable and grilled his co-host with repeated questions: “Is it acceptable to you? Are you OK with that? Turning your back on the press?”

interrupted in an attempt at détente, but Kilmeade kept going:

“If  chose not to talk about the pandemic and avoid criticism, that would be a terrible decision because you have an opportunity to lead. The Russians just shot a $50 million Predator drone out of the sky and they're trying to fish out the cutting-edge technology”

The quarrel only ended when Doocy moved on to another segment.

  1. The MQ-9 REAPER UAV has been in service since 2007 and costs about $28M.
Both Doocy and Kilmeade would have done better to get their basics straight before they started flapping their jaws…

  2. I was a 20year Fox News junkie! Not anymore exactly because of people like Steve Doocy – and I used to love them arching him – what an ass!

  3. Doocy does that all the time; just wants to hog the show and get the last word in. Thinks he is a big shot and knows all because his son is member of white house press.
Brian, give your opinion all the time and don’t let doocy get away with trying to hog the show.
