“Five years investigating, nothing just yet.”
With six words, Fox News host Bill Hemmer stuck a proverbial knife in the back of House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky. According to some observers, anyway.
They undoubtedly showed Hemmer’s frustration with the pace of Comer’s investigation into the Biden family and the perception among many in the base that congressional Republicans continue to overpromise and underdeliver.
Perhaps most remarkably, Hemmer — a news anchor — uttered the thinly-veiled insult twice to Comer’s face on national television.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) joined Hemmer on Tuesday to discuss the latest findings in his investigation, which includes a $3 million wire to President Joe Biden months after he left the position of vice president that could be tied to Beijing.
According to Comer, this wire was broken up between Biden family members, including one he refused to name.
“What was the purpose of that $3 million wire? Now that’s just the first wire that we’ve actually been able to obtain bank records on. There are many, many more,” Comer said.
After Hemmer initially chided Comer for what he had to show after five years’ worth of investigations, the conversation turned to his feud with Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who’s accused the Kentucky Republican of doing “opposition research” for Donald Trump.
But Hemmer took one final shot before ending the interview:
“It’s rather incendiary,” he said. “We will see if you are onto something. Again, five years investigating. Nothing just yet.”
Comer took a victory lap on Twitter earlier today after the Treasury Department relented, following a subpoena, to his demands that it provide the Oversight Committee with access to the Biden family’s suspicious activity reports (SARs).
Financial institutions file SARs with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) whenever money laundering or fraud is suspected.
Comer announced in his tweet that he had an upcoming appearance on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” with Hemmer and co-host Dana Perino.
He certainly expected a much more friendly reception.

You don’t care after 5 years, now that the Biden’s are being exposed you don’t care? Well if you don’t care, I don’t care about you.
Bill Hemmer hit the nail right square on the head. ‘Investigate’ is all the Republicans seem to do. They investigated last month. They’re investigating this month. They’ll be investigating next month. Year in and year out, they’re always investigating. And with all these investigations, nothing ever happens.
They sure know how to punish the criminal Democrats, don’t they?!?!?
