Neil Cavuto, a cornerstone of Fox News since its inception, will bid farewell to the network Thursday afternoon, marking the end of his 28-year tenure as host of Your World with Neil Cavuto. His departure comes as his contract expires at the end of the month.
Cavuto, one of Fox News’ longest-serving anchors, declined to renew his contract despite the network’s desire to retain him, according to a source familiar with the matter. His decision was not driven by animosity but rather by personal choice.
The veteran journalist’s exit occurs during a period of belt-tightening across the cable news industry, where prominent on-air talent has faced salary reductions or opted to move on. However, Cavuto’s departure is unrelated to these broader financial pressures or to any political controversy.
Despite occasional criticism of former President Donald Trump, a source confirmed that this played no role in his decision. If his stance on Trump were an issue, his show would have been canceled years ago, the source noted.
Cavuto’s career has been defined by a remarkable ability to persevere despite significant health challenges. Diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma in the 1980s and multiple sclerosis in 1997, Cavuto has been candid about the physical toll these conditions have taken. In 2016, he underwent open-heart surgery to address a heart condition. Through it all, he has continued to deliver incisive analysis and interviews to his audience.
Cavuto has been married to Mary Fulling since 1983, and together they have three children.
As he prepares to sign off for the last time, Cavuto’s departure represents the end of an era for Fox News.

I’m so used to changing the channel after the Stewart Varney Program every day at noon, I missed Froggy’s announcement. But I didn’t really miss anything. I hope he goes and joins his old buddy, Chris Wallace, on a channel that I never watch.
He is a Commie Bastard hates Trump and should leave the USA we don’t need people like him in our Country.
