Twelve-year-old Travis Wolfe was fatally injured in a head-on crash in December 2023 caused by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.
Despite the severity of the case and the charge of involuntary manslaughter, St. Louis County Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton recently reduced the defendant’s bond to zero, as First Alert 4 in Missouri reports:
Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton on Thursday reduced bond for Endrina Bracho to not require a cash amount. She is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, two counts of first-degree child endangerment and second-degree assault in the case.
Charging documents state Bracho was also driving without a license at the time of the crash and is living in the country without legal permission. She has been jailed since March on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
Hilton’s reduction of the suspect’s bond was over the objection of prosecutors, according to court documents. The judge ordered her not to drive without a license or contact the victims. She is also required to wear a GPS monitor.
In a bond reduction motion filed in September, defense attorney Cesar A. Millan said Bracho has no criminal record, has a family and children in the area and is not a flight risk. He referred to the crash as a traffic accident and said his client has been overcharged.
Wolfe had been on life support immediately after the collision. On that fateful night—the night before his 12th birthday—Travis was traveling with his parents in Hazelwood, Missouri.
Their car was hit head-on. His parents were taken to Mercy Hospital with broken wrists, broken ribs and a broken sternum. Travis was taken to a children’s hospital and put on life support for brain injuries.
He never woke up.

According to court documents, Bracho allegedly drove the wrong way at 70 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Despite everything, she was able to spend Christmas outside of jail, while the Wolfe family continues to mourn the loss of their beloved son.

This is disgusting. This boy would likely be alive today if this woman was not in America illegally, doing illegal things that took his life. She should be sitting in jail without bond. Judge orders her not to drive without a license. Yeah, like that worked before. She obviously has no respect for our rule of law, proven the day she crossed the border illegally. She should be deported and never be allowed to enter America again. If that breaks up her family, so be it. She made those choices, and should have to live with it. She has broken up the Wolfe family permanently. If they don’t want to be separated, they can always go back with her. I have no sympathy on these people. Convict her, then send her home to serve in their prison. I don’t want to pay to support her.
