Congressional Black Caucus Opts to Endorse White Democrat Over Black Conservative Female Candidate

-

The (CBC) has a message: no Republicans allowed.

The Congressional Black Caucus has turned its back on Jennifer-Ruth Green, a Black female air force veteran running for 's First Congressional District. Instead, the group opted to throw its support behind Democrat Congressman Frank Mrvan, who is White.

According to its website, the primary focus of the Congressional Black Caucus is a commitment to “using the full Constitutional power, statutory authority, and financial resources of the federal government to ensure that African Americans and other marginalized communities in the United States have the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.”

Green, who would be ' first Black female Republican representative if elected, said the CBC's choice not to support her campaign shows the group is more concerned with than representation.

“It's the American people versus the DC politicians and lobbyists,” Air Force veteran Jennifer-Ruth Green told Fox News Digital in a statement. “I'm with the American people. The Congressional Black Caucus is with the politicians and lobbyists, and their career politician ally Frank Mrvan. America's poorest communities are proof Frank Mrvan and the CBC care more about power and helping themselves than helping the people of northwest Indiana. It's sad.”

“The Congressional Black Caucus PAC is committed to electing African-Americans and African-American allies to Congress who will fight for our values,” the Congressional Black Caucus PAC told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Congressman Mrvan understands the importance of a woman's right to choose and protecting access to healthcare for all people. One of his first votes in Congress was for the American Rescue Plan which helped end this pandemic, put workers back on the job, and shored up the kinds of small businesses that are the backbone of Black community.”

“We support him because we know he will continue to fight against racial and economic injustice and ensure Northwest Indiana is able to continue to grow and thrive.”

Election data aggregator RealClearPolitics rates the race as a “toss-up.” During the 2020 election, Democrat  received 53.6% of the 1st District's vote to former President 's 44.8%.

Recently, Green was thrust into the spotlight after Politico aired a report the air force veteran is a survivor of sexual assault after multiple requests from Green asking the publication to kill the story.

“The reality of it is – like I said at one point in my life to my assailant, ‘No. Please stop. Don't.' –  and he did what he wanted to do … This is the exact same situation all over again, all because there was a man who wanted some sort of gratification,” Green told Fox News after Politico ignored her wishes. “Congressman Frank Mrvan gets his gratification of trying to think he's smearing my name. Adam Wren gets his gratification of thinking he's going to get a good smear story out of it. And all it does is essentially reopen wounds for victims.”

  1. Politics trumps (no pun intended) race. Betcha they are pretty quiet about that when campaigning in predominately black districts. That is going to be pretty hard to swallow in the big, white, establishment media, too – but they will, because, at least for the left and other Democrats (including many black Democrats), politics trumps everything. Sounds like a not quite trivial sequel to Darkness at Noon.

  2. Please don’t tell me anyone is surprised. The Congressional Black Caucus has always been the lapdog for old white Liberals in suits. Black Americans still have a long way to go before they become aware of their real enemies.

    • The Old White Liberals in Suits have always been pretty generous to Black Politicians in suits who toe the Liberal line and support their agenda. Those who buck the patronage system are demonized and shunned, but some brave Blacks take their chances and excel in spite of the Black Caucus. The Caucus and their white masters call these people Uncle Toms.

  3. Watch karma come back to bite the dumbocraps for this move, right in the –s. We know who the real radical, liberal, racists are, the entire dumbocrap party. That why there getting voted out of office in red wave.

  4. the left has you confused. They hate Clarence Thomas, love judge Jackson. It isn’t actually about race. They hate conservatives of any color; they just use racism as camouflage.

The left destroys everything it touches.

  5. Actually glad to hear the Dems aren’t obsessed with race. Actually they are, but politics trumps race in this case. But – little victories.
