-

Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman finally folded to public pressure and released medical information after suffering a , but there's a big catch.

The physician who wrote a letter clearing the Lieutenant Governor of any lingering health concerns has donated hundreds of dollars to the Democrat's campaign. (RELATED: John Fetterman Campaign Signs Found Covered in Razor Blades Sparks Police Response)

Dr. Clifford Chen essentially signed off that Fetterman has a clean bill of health after suffering a stroke in May.

“Overall, the Lt. Governor is recovering well from his stroke and his health has continued to improve,” Chen wrote, noting that Fetterman's physical exam was normal, and he has returned to normal strength and coordination in all four extremities. “He spoke intelligently without cognitive deficit. His speech was normal and he continues to exhibit symptoms of an auditory processing disorder which can come across as hearing difficulty. Occasional words he will ‘miss' which seems like he doesn't hear the word but it is actually not processed properly. His hearing of sound such as music is not affected. His communication is significantly improved compared to his first visit assisted by speech therapy which he has attended on a regular basis since the stroke.”

“I have spoken with his neurologist and cardiologist and he will follow-up with them routinely,” Chen added. “The Lt. Governor takes appropriate medications to optimize his heart condition and prevent future strokes. He also exercises routinely and can walk 4 to 5 miles regularly without difficulty. Overall, Lt. Governor Fetterman is well and shows strong commitment to maintaining good fitness and health practices. He has no work restrictions and can work full duty in public office.”

Dr. Chen has donated more than $1,300 to Fetterman's team and totaled nearly $2,500 in donations to Democrats in closely contested races nationwide according to Federal Election Commission records.

Since his stroke, Fetterman has largely been absent from the campaign trail which has triggered speculation as to if he can handle the pressures and duties that come along with serving as a U.S. Senator.

A recent interview with NBC News, welcomed a fresh barrage of criticism after the interviewer revealed Fetterman appeared to have difficulty understanding the conversation before being given a teleprompter for the filmed portion. The Senate race between Fetterman and Republican candidate Dr. has become one of the most closely followed races in the country and is expected to fall within tight margins. RealClearPolitics regards the race as a “toss up” with Fetterman currently holding a three-point lead over Oz.

  1. There should be a second opinion since it determines the fate of the country if he can serve with cognitive abilities.

    • Right, we already have one of those type politicians in office now, sadly it’s the white where he is serving.

  2. Fetterman should be required to get a second opinion from a different doctor. This smells of democrat rigging.

    • I agree, an independent evaluation is needed. All I see with Dr. Chen is a smoke screen! Anybody who has heard Fetterman knows he is not fit for public office! We absolutely, positively, most assuredly do not need another inept, impaired clown in any position in Washington DC!

  3. If Uncle Festerman has the cognition of a prefrontal lobotomy patient, he will never stand out among the other DemonCrats. He will fit right in.
