On Wednesday’s episode of The ReidOut on MSNBC, host Joy Reid continued to chastise Trump supporters following his stunning election victory. After years of accusing Trump of being divisive and incendiary, Reid addressed the tension between those who voted for Trump and those who didn’t, suggesting that the two sides should not feel obligated to share holiday meals together. Her remarks, packed with pointed, one-sided criticisms of Trump supporters, was what viewers have come to expect from the far left pundit.
Reid expressed frustration with what she described as the entitled attitudes of Trump voters, who she says seem to expect conciliatory gestures from those who opposed him.
What she calls “entitlement,” others may call “normalcy,” because despite escalating rhetoric to the contrary — especially from left wing political commentators like herself — for the vast majority of American history, there was nothing controversial or strange about friends and families spending the holidays with people regardless of their political views.
She began her monologue, “So apparently the people who voted for the ‘I will protect women whether they like it not,’ childless woman should have no rights, Puerto Rico is trash island, Haitians had eaten your pets gang are the real victims despite their guy winning the election. In fact, they are now the modern-day equivalent of Rosa Parks, we’re told by a white comedian. Civil Rights heroes, the lot of them. The rest of us among the 73 million Americans who voted not to have fascism, autocracy, mass deportations, internment camps and economy-crushing tariffs are the bad guys, the segregationists of our time. If we hold on, let me check my notes, yes I don’t want to have turkey dinner with the people screaming your body, my choice.”
She then went on to make ahistorical and defamatory comparisons to America’s founding fathers.
“It’s the same energy their forefathers had toward the indigenous tribes. ‘Hey, let’s have Thanksgiving dinner on the land we stole from you. But before we pack you off to the reservation and snuff out your culture, could you please pass the corn on the cob?'”
She went on to draw bizarre comparisons between illegal immigrants and Trump voters, reasoning that if illegal aliens should be deported for overstaying visas or unlawful entry, right wingers should “also suffer the consequences of their votes.”
She accused Trump supporters of having equal parts “bully energy” and “victim energy” — failing to see how the same could be said for her own political peers, who some argue hinge their entire identities on perceived oppression, while shouting down all disagreement and debate with accusations of bigotry and character assassinations.
She then went on to imply that undue social pressures had been put on liberals to try to understand Trump voters, even though liberals found themselves shocked in 2016 and 2024, unable to rationalize either of Trump’s elections. While the liberal worldview is explained at length in academia, in popular media, and corporate life thanks to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, the conservative worldview remains a mystery to most on the left. They make a habit of accusing right of center voters as uneducated and/or bigoted, and make no attempts to understand their point of view beyond these stereotypes.
Reid continued, “Make your own dinner, make your own sandwiches, wipe your answer tears, troll amongst yourself with Elon and leave us alone. The president you dream of and worship instead of Jesus, and the time you didn’t have to storm the Capitol or issue death threats to pole workers. See, you did it by voting this time; congrats. You got your way, and he got away with breaking the law, yay. But if you expect the 73 million who voted for the prosecutor, not the felon, and particularly the 92% of black women who voted for Kamala to give you a cookie for your vote, a trophy, a hug, a high-five, you might be asking too much. If we want to eat with you, we will, but if we want some peace over the holidays and we don’t want to put up with your trolling while we eat our turkey, get over it. Stop acting like we owe you. Stop whining. It’s embarrassing. Our Thanksgiving our choice.”
She’s so mad that Trump won, now she wants to divide families over the Holidays? Let’s see, who’s the divisive party again? She’s one of the most racist, bigoted, divisive people on TV. She obviously has some sort of mental issues. She needs help, and also, her show needs to be cancelled and booted off the air ASAP. She’s a disgrace.
Maybe someday the liberals will grow up and join the rest of the human race. I am sure they benefited from President Trump’s first term.

Actually P.Rico does have a garbage problem. Three years ago there was an article that said there was no more room for landfills. Garbage has been piling up there.
It is so sad to see that someone like Reid has truly lost her joy. She has turned into an angry, vindictive and self made pundit whose “facts” must not be questioned. Her hate filled vitriol is based in imagined horrors carefully developed by the left to accuse anyone on the right of things they haven’t done nor intend to do. It has become so common, especially on “The View” that one must wonder if the great divide can ever be sealed and sanity restored to our society or our government and representatives on both sides of the isle. As long as Reid and her ilk continue in their current fashion the only promise is that the road will be long and arduous.
There are just some people who cannot live without hate. You are one of them. I do not understand how you could be brought up spewing the total nonsense that your mind conjures up. I don’t know where you came from nor do I care. I don’t know how you got to where you are without help from the society you grew up in, yet you cannot reconcile with those who helped you get to where you are today. I’ve had 3 chidren and even tho they have 3 different personalities none of them are hateful. They disagree but they know when to put their differences aside for the sake of peace…something you cannot seem to fathom. You are a hate monger extrordinere…I would hope that your family enjoys your company at Thanksgiving listining to your vile hate that you can’t seem to put aside for even one moment.

Those of us who voted for Trump do NOT worship him instead of Jesus. The prosecutor of Trump is the real felon because the felony charges against Trump were a fraud based on trying to keep him from being President again, not on any thing Trump did. This sham trial was not of Trump’s pears. They were Democrats who decided that Trump was guilty before hearing any evidence. The Kamala Harris voters are the whiners, not the Trump voters as Reid suggests. If Reid and the Harris voters wanted to have Thanksgiving apart from Trump voters that was their business and does not bother me because most of them are strangers to me and if they have such hate in their hearts as to desire to separate themselves from Trump voters it is their loss.

The whole “my body, my choice” argument is ridiculous. Soon they will require vaccines for whatever the next pandemic is. What happened to choice? Can a woman be a prostitute? It’s her body, why isn’t it her choice? Can she choose to sell a kidney? Of course not. There are limits to everything. The limit here should be whatever the state the woman resides in says it is. If they don’t like it, it’s a free country and they can go to another state.
