U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed she is closely monitoring the situation in the Twin Cities, stating that political violence “will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Democratic Rep. and former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were fatally shot at their home early this morning by a man posing as a police officer, authorities confirmed.

A statewide manhunt is underway in Minnesota after two Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party lawmakers — State Senator John Hoffman and former House Speaker Melissa Hortman — were shot in their homes early Saturday morning in what authorities describe as targeted attacks by a suspect impersonating a police officer.
Both lawmakers recently broke with their party: Hortman supported repealing free health care for adult illegal immigrants, while Hoffman crossed the aisle in the Senate to help Republicans pass the measure.
The first shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at Senator Hoffman’s residence in Champlin, where both he and his wife sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Shortly thereafter, a second attack took place approximately eight miles south at Representative Hortman’s home in Brooklyn Park, where she and her spouse were also shot. Both lawmakers are reported to be in grave condition.
The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair, wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants. Authorities believe he may be posing as a law enforcement officer. Residents in the affected areas have been advised not to approach anyone matching this description and to verify the identity of any individuals claiming to be police officers before opening their doors.
In response to the attacks, Brooklyn Park Police issued a shelter-in-place order within a three-mile radius of Edinburgh Golf Course. Governor Tim Walz has activated the State Emergency Operations Center to support local law enforcement efforts.
Law enforcement is asking the public to dial 911 immediately with any information on the suspect’s location. Officials plan to release additional details at a Saturday morning press briefing.

Prayers up for the families. If this is an unknown gunman, how is it known that this was “politically motivated” or is this something being used to start more controversy? Interesting facts from the story include “Both lawmakers recently broke with their party: Hortman supported repealing free health care for adult illegal immigrants, while Hoffman crossed the aisle in the Senate to help Republicans pass the measure.” This could lead some to believe that might also be someone from the same party that did not agree with cooperating across the aisle. I guess you could also consider this “politically motivated”. Either way is inexcusable.
HOW does Tampon Tim know that it was politically motivated???? Couldn’t it have been a professional “hit” for other reasons? Could they have been involved in some criminal enterprise? Could they have owed a loan shark money?? I’m pretty sure that the police don’t know so Tampon Tim doesn’t have a clue but that doesn’t stop him from making an a$$ of himself once again.
Unless he actually does know and is simply so dumb that he just over-talked the situation and let too much out. You have to be nuts to vote for a Democrat and even nuttier to be one.

This is the sort of environment the Democrat/Liberal/Progressive side of the3 aisle has fomented. They are violent, crazed and willing to do anything to make sure their people do not step out of their lockstep demand to not waver from the approved narrative, agenda or radical ideology. The Democrat Party should be dissolved as they have become far too corrupt and out of control.
