Republican incumbent Kevin Stitt is trailing his Democrat opponent in the latest polls for the Oklahoma governor's race. According to Sooner Poll and KOCO-TV, Democrat Joy Hofmeister, Stitt's opponent has a lead of 4% and 1%, respectively.
KOCO's poll is the most recent of the two. That survey shows Hofmeister's lead well within the margin of error.
KOCO News, an ABC affiliate based in Oklahoma City is reporting that “among 500 likely voters, 46% support the current state superintendent and Democrat Joy Hofmeister. With a margin of error of 4.4%, Stitt polls at 45%.”
Another poll released by the FOX affiliate in Oklahoma City showed Hofmeister with the support of 49% of voters — and Stitt with 42% — with 8% undecided. The margin of error in that poll was 3.9%.
Past polling recorded by RealClearPolitics showed Stitt with a 1-point lead in a poll conducted between September 2nd and September 7th and a 3-point lead in a poll conducted between September 19th and September 21st.
Most of these results have been within the margin of error.
While RealClearPolitics has put the race in its most competitive “Toss Up” category, other prognosticators still rate the Oklahoma governor's race as heavily Republican-leaning. Larry J. Sabato's Crystal Ball of the UVA's Center for Politics rates the dark red state's gubernatorial election “Likely Republican” as does The Cook Political Report.
Then-President Donald Trump cruised to victory in Oklahoma on Election Day 2020 over Joe Biden by a more than a two-to-one margin.

Sounds like the usual fake news! Biased polls and under counting………!
Lessee – abc affiliate explains that one QUICKLY, and I would suspect the so-called sooner poll is part of OU, and that would definitely explain that “FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
Oklahoma always has been a very red state and doubt that will change this cycle or any other in at least the near future……………….
Suppression poll. Get out and Vote! An incumbant (R) cannot be allowed to be defeated any democrat in these midterms; not with what the democraps have already done to the republic. Does anyone really believe OK wants to become CA? That’s what these polls want you to think.
